    TM's Probable Starting Lineup

It's going to be an exciting AC for us! It's now or never...

Here's my prediction of the TM lineup for tomorrow's match:

    ------------------------------Beiranvand------------------------------

    --------Ghafouri---------Hosseini---------PAG---------Hajsafi------

    --------------------Ebrahimi------------------------------------------
    ------------------------------------------Ansarifard-------------------

    --Taremi----------------------Saman--------------------------Amiri--

    -------------------------------Sardar----------------------------------

    - It's still unclear if Jahanbakhsh is match fit for the first game.

    - The only slight variations to this lineup will be Ramin instead of Voria, and maybe Ashkan/Masoud for Ghodoos.

    - It would be a horrendous shame if Saman Ghodoos doesn't start in this tournament.

    - We have a bench filled with heavyweights.

    - I wouldn't mind if Milad Mohammadi also gets to start, but then CQ would have to bench Ansarifard. However, he is better suited for the position compared to Ehsan. Mimo should be patient, as he is still young and his time will come. Just like Ehsan who started on the bench for a while until he cemented his way in the TM lineup.

    Your thoughts?

CQ has demonstrated that he always has a plan for every single match. I believe that he is smart enough to realize that tactically and talent-wise, we're right up there. Our main foe is the mental game. I'm sincerely hoping that we don't end up in a penalty shootout situation. But if we do, then CQ's greatest feat would be helping the boys overcome their anxiety and step up like champs and bring the trophy home.

Tbh, I'm tirred and sick of us ending in penalty, thats why I want us to go full force and show no mercey on whoever we meet, if we could play like that against world and european champions, we should be able to do it against these teams.

I agree. Our only worthy opponents are Japan and to a lesser extent South Korea and Australia. If the saudi-emirati coalition don't interfere with the officiating, we should easily make it to the semis. Then it's a question of focusing well in every minute of the game.

what the line-up should be is different than what it will actually be.

Knowing CQ stubbornness, We'll probably see Masound as CM, Ashkan as AMF, and Ghoddos on the bench. Taremi left wing, Rezaeian as Right wing.

Given the fact, that we are the tallest Team in the Tournament and Yemen one of the smallest, natural strategy should be to capitalize on
              Crosses, Set-pieces, Throw-ins and Corners.
              My lineup would be:
              ------------Beiro--------------
              -----PAG--------M.Hosseini--
              Vouria-------------------MiMo
              ----------Cheshmi------------
              ----Ansarifard-----Hajsafi-----
              AJ*------------------------Taremi
              ----------Azmoun---------------

*If not ready, than bring Dejagah

I'm not hoping for this lineup. Based on the Qatar friendly, this should more or less be the lineup.

But if he benches Saman and favors Ashan and Masoud, then unfortunately there's no chance of us winning this AC

I respectfully disagree. We should demolish Yemen. We should eat them for breakfast. Throw-ins and set pieces? Did you not watch our second half display against PORTUGAL?

P.S. Ebrahimi is a much better DM than Cheshmi. As much as I love Mimo, He should be benched so that Ehsan plays LB opening up a spot for a more offensive midfield. And I simply cannot wrap my head around benching Ghodoos!?

                  Ghodoos. Must. Play.

Sometimes, yes. He made the difference for us in the Morocco game.

That point aside, Ashkan and Masoud are brilliant players without a doubt. But they should come in as subs if needed. So, if The is right and CQ insists on modifying the lineup to include them both in the team and benches Saman instead; believe me there will be a huge difference.

We should be able to get past the group stage with any lineup from the 23 players. With or without Saman, benching Ashkan and Masoud or not. But Saman should start and evolve in order to inflict serious damage in the knockout stage.

I agree with you, that TM should take Yemen seriously and try to defeat them convincingly but why should this attitude be an contradiction to my approach?
TM was never a Tiki-Taka our One-Touch playing Team, our natural style is physical and crossings into the box. Why not using the physical advantage in the
Air to score. Thats also the reason why i prefer Cheshmi over Ebrahimi in this game, since i expect Yemen to park the Bus. Cheshmi is tall and very dangerous
in the air, same goes for M.Hosseini, PAG, Azmoun, Ansarifard.
The reason why i decide for MiMo and Vouria is simply because i think that both of them can make precise crosses into the Box, which will be needed against
                            11 Yemen's-Wall.
I agree with you on Ghoddos but he can sub-in in the second half anyway.

I don't know what would be the point of not starting Saman in this game. He should get some time on the field, and no better time than against 3 first rounders, Let him show what he can do. I wish he would start all three games in first round.

                              Same thing with Torabi
