what about us though? what about azmoun crying after we got eliminated to ben williams' iraq? what about amiri who couldn't even stand on his own feet after his missed PK? you think iraq could give two shits that we are a war torn nation thats only playing with 10 men? what about taremi crying after his infamous miss vs portugal? this is the nature of the beast.

i hope we will get revenge on iraq. when we played china in 07, that 2-2 draw was b.s. so we need to make a statement vs iraq, fifa, afc, and of course, ben williams

With this many good players and at least two options for each post, CQ can potentially send a different team for Vietnam game. A younger, speedier team.

          Beiranvand
          Hajsafi
          Hosseini
          Pouraliganji
          Rezaeian
          Ebrahimi
          Dejagah
          Amiri
          Taremi
          Torabi
          Azmoun
          Ghafoori
          Cheshmi
          Mohammadi
          Nourollahi
          Shojaei
          Ansarifard
          Abedzadeh
          Kanaani
          Ghoddos

            We are Iran, Pahlevoon

            Sarzamine Daliran. Sarzamine Pouriyaye Vali...

Iraq was entirely Pooladi's fault. Losing in penalty kicks is different than Yemen's current situation. I'm sure that statistically, nearly every single Yemeni player is currently directly or indirectly impacted by the brutal saudi war. They're already a devastated nation as-is, add to it a war and blockades and widespread famine... I mean they have soccer players on their NATIONAL TEAM that're malnourished.

They're no match for us. It's like an NFL team playing against a bunch of high school kids lol. We stomped on them in the first 26 mins of the game and dictated the entire 90 mins.

I'm ONLY talking about Yemen by the way.

For the rest of the tournament, no mercy, ruthless, savage all the way!

We thank and support Mr. Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to the Iranian Football Community.

                Guys,
Let's just enjoy the games. You are reading too much into things. War, famine, revengae. Football is a sport. It is not meant to be political. If Yemen participates in the tournament is their choice and it that means they have the means to do so. That means they qualified for the tournament. To discuss having merci on them because their country is in shambles is totally none sense. When we go against Iraq, it will be a brand new game and revenge must not play a role. Remember when two nations play sports that is a symbol of friendship, peace, tranquility and sympathy for one one another. What else do you think 22 representatives are there for?

Keep things clean and simple. Start with your own mind and soul.

Before the tournament started, everyone, including CQ mentioned the fact that we have to be wary of officiating and the refs. If our players are going to play as rough as they did in the first half of this game, I expect multiple yellows and potentially red cards in crucial matches ahead. the ref was too lenient with our boys on a couple of occasions. our players need to calm the hell down if they don't want to give the ref the excuse they usually don't even need to pull out the red card!!!!!

because in 04 they beat us in a penally shootout, Zare got a red card. in 07 we had a chance at payback but ended up tying them, which brings me to iraq, who eliminated us in 15, due to the same circumstances. I'm saying we have to destroy iraq, not trolling anyone here

One more point on the performance...

There seems to be periods of games under CQ, particularly during the start of the game, that we look dishevelled and disorganised.

On the face of it, it looks worrying from a TM fan's perspective - and was particularly strange that we seemingly struggled against a side as low as Yemen in the rankings. CQ has previously put it down to both nerves, a struggle to step up in the pace of play at tournament football and also taken credit for it as a deliberate ploy.

                        What are other members thoughts?

Personally, I think it's hard to read whether this is a bluff but I wonder if this is genuinely deliberate and if so it could be very useful in this tournament - "organised chaos" as Klopp call it. Particularly against teams looking to settle into a pattern of bodies in very close banks behind the ball and hit us on the counter in order to create a false sense of positivity to push forward and open them up for the 1st goal.

Iranians compete with a lot of passion. Our culture is a very hot blooded and dramatic culture. When it comes to football, it takes us a good 10-15 minutes each match to get our emotions in order and play with composure. I think as time goes on this time period will become less and less. But passion and heart are a good thing. When properly channeled they can lead to amazing results.

You cant cook a stew on high heat. You will burn the food. Our players need to learn how to play with medium heat.

                                Not bad...
Our emotions make us vibrant people, they can also take over and sabotage.
If they can learn to control their emotions then they will gain confidence and stay focused on the game. We will start seeing more goals. CQ and his team seem to be working on that spiritual aspect in a very scientific manner.
