They averaged 75K fans every game this year. The best team in the MLS and best fan base.

I'm an Atlanta united season ticket holder. I'll be sure to find this kid and test out his Farsi!

From his clips he looks talented, although some of the defending is pretty bad. His style reminds me a lot of Arzani actually. I'm hoping he's not another Arzani when it comes to team melli.

He did play in various youth US national team games.

Ehh we got into the 70s for about a third of the games. 2/3rds of the games we were usually around 45 k.

The club would often only keep the lower level open for regular season games. Only for big games (better opponents) and playoff matches did they open the top levels too..

Nevertheless Atlanta is probably the best run club in the MLS. Technical director Bocanegra and some former Tottenham backroom staff seem to be running things well.

The last coach was former Argentina and Barcelona coach, Tata Martino. Now we recently signed former Ajax coach Frank de Boer.

The team has several strong South American players, with Miguel Almirón, Josef Martínez being full internationals for Paraguay and Venezuela. Several others like Pirez (former Riverplate, former Argentina U-21) , Remedi, Villalba (Paraguay senior player), Barco (overhyped "new Agüero") were recruited from the Argentine league.

Miguel Almirón was previously wanted by Arsene Wenger at arsenal according to rumors, and currently has been sought by Newcastle.

Josef Martinez was successful in Swiss league and got a few seasons at Torino in Italy where he was okay but played out of position and not always fixed. In Atlanta he became a huge success and league top scorer and MVP.

Atlanta also just signed Pity Martinez from River Plate, who's had a good 15 caps or so with the Argentina national team.

Competition for the attacking positions is very high, and there are young attacking players with lots of potential too, including Andrew Carleton (US U18 star), Brandon Vasquez (one of the top draft picks, Allah former youth US player), and others.

His playing time will certainly be limited to begin with, but I hope he can be developed by de Boer and if he scores a couple goals he can certainly gain traction and make himself a starter.

I told you guys about him 7 years ago and said if we don't jump on him soon he might slip away.

I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

What are you smoking? TFC and Montreal have amazing attendance year in year out. Let's see what Atlanta does during a non championship season before we give them the best fan base award.

wow great to know, Atlanta has one of the best fan bases in the country. Along with LAFC with Beitashour, good to see 2 Iroonis in good MLS teams. Both California boys too

Best team = Champions. Best fan base = Attendance.

They were averaging it early in the season as well.

Atlanta definitely has the best fan base so far in the MLS in terms of attendance. There is no argument here.

Seattle also has a very strong attendance. I just think MLS is really a tactically poor league.

those attendance figures are ridunclously high..!! especially for a MLS club, a new expansion team as well..!!
i remember back then Wizards, current SKC playing in KC Chiefs stadium and the highest we could manage was around 35-40k when the much hyped Bekham rolled into town with LA Galaxy..!! currently we nearly always pack and sell out the new SoccerSpecific stadium they built a decade ago or so but its capacity is less than 20k..!

so i assume this Bashti kid's position is Striker? AM? whats his iranian roots like ...? both parents.?

Atlanta got lucky, ref fked over SKC in earlier playoff round, or we woulda marched into Atlanta and ripped them a new one in process of collecting our 3rd cup..!
