Guys I thought everyone said head-to-head is more important than goal difference.

Surely Thailand are second in the group and Bahrain are third in that case?

Yet the table shows something different?

The way I see it, Thailand will go on the "left" side of the draw (Iran's side if we top the group) and UAE and Bahrain go on the "right" side.

Bahrain had 2 wins and a draw
UAE had 1 win and 2 draw
Thailand 1 win and 1 draw

        India 1 win only

If the first 2 games showed that we deserved to advance, today's game proved that we did not deserve to go through. Horrible decision by the coaching staff to hope for favourable result from the other match instead of taking matters into our own hand. Any team that plays with this loosing mentality is not worthy of a win. Hopefully we come back stronger next time.

This is really confusing and I'm wondering if I'm watching a different tournament to everyone else.

Bahrain had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss not 2 wins and a draw

Thailand had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss.

Thailand has -2 goal difference but beat Bahrain so should be second on head-to-head.

Let's hope Korea beats China cause I'm tired of playing them in quarter finals.

                  You are right DR Jaan.

Thailand are second and will play either China/Korea in the next round.

I trus the Wikipedia page over all of the other BS.

All other sites show it correctly, which means indeed Thailand as the second team and Bahrain 3rd despite Thailand having a worse GD than Bahrain.

You’re right - the goal against the run of play against UAE seemed to knock their confidence and they never really recovered. That kind of resilience and winning mentality will come with experience.

Overall though a decent showing from India - at times skilful and composed - and I’m sure they will continue to progress from here.

I preferred India to win. India's players need to work on their physical abilities. India's players physical condition was poor.

Yes, you said Bahrain has 2 wins and a draw.

The google link says differently, and shows the table correctly.

Yeah you're wrong UL jaan. Bahrain has 1 win (India), 1 loss (Thailand) and 1 draw (UAE).
