this little wiener always has his hands in the air. At one point, maybe when they play 8-0ers, that's going to cost him.

i thought he did alright letting the action go on without whistle stopping it to death..!! he understood it was a heated rivalry and some push n shove and hacks was gonna be par for course, so he let some fouls go by that some other refs coulda carded... but he did same for both side..! the first handball wasnt really a PK and he didnt have a good view of the 2nd one which coulda well been called if..! but then again letting Samman off the hook with only a yellow card sorta made up for no calls on some shady handballs in the box..!
i think playing a man down woulda most likely costed us the game, even if we had scored a goal off the Pk..!!
what does it matter anyways, besides not getting a proper revenge quenching victory , we did gain everything else tangible and truly valuable from this result ..!!

he should have sent off Ghodoos and also probably given 1-2 more yellow cards to Iraq.

the incident on Ebrahimi was also a PK. the two handball incidents were not PK.

It wasnt a pk for ebrahimi. the defender touched him but thats not enough for a pk. i rather give the one hand penalty just because hand penalties are usually given more easily thee days.

Iran has lost countless number of games in PK shootout. Perhaps this is an area that needs to be addressed, not the weak referee excuse.
I agree pks need to be improved but even noniranian experts and broadcasters said” ben williams “ ruined the game. He gave pouladi two needless yellows. I have seen some needless yellows given out this year as well. And some potential reds that we didnt get which Im grateful for. Why did amiri get a yellow or ramin the first game? Bad officiating can ruin a game. Irmatov should have started handing out yellows much earlier against iraq. Saman was constantly fouled and no yellows. I am not sure why carlos was praising Irmatov maybe because he didn’t redcard saman? If he had given out some early yellows and controlled the game to protect saman then the game would have been much better. Speaking of yellow cards, Im glad that carlos rested ramin so he wouldn’t pickup a another yellow

Two hand balls were definitely penalty. In the world cup it would have been called. The problem is The FIFA regulation and use the word intent which leads to plural interpretations. 90% of penalties due to hand balls in the box are not intentional but get called anyways. Lets see at least if AFC is consistent in not calling these hand balls penalties in this tournament. In the world cup they were consistent in calling it.
