So if Turkmenistan beats Oman and Lebanon doesn't beat DPR, we will be playing Turkmenistan. If Turkmenistan wins and Lebanon also wins, we'll be playing Lebanon.

If Lebanon wins with 3 goals or more and Oman also wins, we'll most probably will be playing Lebanon. In most other cases if Oman wins, they will be our opponents next.

Wow what kind of penalty was that? This tournament cannot be trusted looks like someone from above tells certain referees what to do

Refereeing in this tournament has been so bad, are they practising their Saudies for the next few rounds?

now there is more chance for us to get Lebanon. of course everything is still possible.

we play Palestine only and only in one scenario. both of these matches Lebanon vs DPRK and Oman vs TKM end up with a draw and we have a winner in KGZ-PHI and VIE-YEM matches.

I hope Uzbekistan does not lose to Japan. Not only will that mean a Japan vs. Australia clash already in the next round, it will also send Japan to the other side of the brackets (of course all assuming that we will finish 1st in our group).

Why all the animosity towards Syria? I mean here is a country that is virtually torn apart and leveled to ground, the way I see it putting together a team at all is admirable. I am sure some of them went over board in their enthusiasm for a tie in Iran against the giants of Iran. So what? it would be like Iran tying England in England for us, what kind of videos would we have made? On the other hand what did the Aussies say about Iran? remember calling us uncivilized? Dangerous? Unsafe? I wish Syria had won, just to put these cocky Australians in their rightful place.

                  If south Korea defeats China
And if Japan fails to defeat Uzbekistan
Then we won't meet any of the big 3 until the final (Japan,AUS,Korea) because they will all be in the other bracket

Its Uzbekistan. When it matters, they usually don't do well.
Some of their biggest losses have been against Japan.

That 2-2 in Tehran is looking more suspicious now with SYR
                        performance in this cup.
Maybe CQ will write about it in his memoir and comes clean.

yeah what about Syria drawing Australia both in Malaysia and Australia home and away. and almost eliminating them.

sometimes the level of "tavahom" here is unbelievable.

The Aussies would play us fair. The Syrians would cheat, grassroll, and tempt our players into stupid decisions.
I will say this only once in this thread so we stay football related. Iran is not an Arab country, and nowhere is it written that we should be supporters or saviors for Arabs. If they dig their own graves, let it be that way.

We only care about our team and Syria being eliminated is good news. Hopefully, Omar Al-Soma spends the rest of his unmemorable and forgettable career in Saudi Arabia and withers back into nonrelevance.

                              That's absurd and unncessarily conspriatorial.

Syria was a very good team, but full of emotional highs and lows. They did very well in the qualifications and almost knocked Australia out of the playoffs.

If you beat them then they won't make that video... that simple
