My point was not to comment on the revolution or make any sort of political statement. The intent of my post was to focus support on team Melli and to leave other issues, that have nothing to do with it, out of it. Personally, all I wanna see is Iran bring that cup home.

CQ is not perfect, no coach is, nobody is. I don't believe there is a CQ cult on this forum as some people like to point out but a group of supporters who are appreciative and understand how difficult his task is given the way everything is run in our country.
Naneh ghamars all over the place telling people how to think and what to do.

He is not supposed to justify his every move, he has a job to get done. Sure, there are going to be players who are going to feel used or jilted on the way but he can't avoid that.

Hashieh is always going to be there, it's how we react to it that makes the difference.

The fact that ex team melli players and staff are turning around and shitting on CQ so quickly shows the level of respect that this “world class” coach has in the locker room. The guys show him respect as long as they are on the team, but once they leave you can see clearly there was no respect there.
And it makes sense. The guy is full of shit and everyone knows it except for the “CQ worship apologist cult” here.
Even Peyrovani said today that during the team melli camp when he was there, the players had dubbed him “the champion of ruining the mood of Iranian football”.

The ONLY valid criticism of CQs handling of all this PP nonsense is: he's way too much of a hot-head, he needs to vent his frustrations privately or choose to be more diplomatic, he's stubborn, etc.

Guys chill out!! These hashiye things will continue regardless if CQ gets full support from all PFDC members or not. The people and press that are making remarks about CQ will continue to do so and CQ will continue to react and do whatever he's been doing all a long.

So let's just sit back, chill out, enjoy the tournament for as long as we can and don't have a heart attack for every comment that might criticize CQ and start calling each other nasty names.

Calling CQ a “world class coach” is a joke. The guy is a fraud.
Look at his record for the first four years.
By the end of the 2014 world cup he had a 48% win rate playing average 99 rank teams.
By the end of the 2011 Asian cup he had a 53% win rate playing average 98 rank teams.

Now compare that to Afshin Ghotbi (arguably our worst coach in the last 15 years) who had a 53% win rate playing average 85 rank teams.
And this was with basically the same teams except CQ also had Dejagah and Gucci.

And after that CQ was blessed with the most talented and stacked generation in the history of team melli while our opponents clearly dropped in quality (Korea, Uzbekistan).

Look how he got out coached by Katanec against Iraq a few days ago. Real world class.

And now this “world class coach” is dragging the team into hashiye in the middle of the tournament. And for what? Cause he wants a 4 year contract extension.

“World class” my ass. The guy is fighting tooth and nail trying to stay in Iran because he knows what’s awaiting him on the other side. No team from any decent league would even look at him. And if he goes to another national team, they would throw him out the instant him opens him mouth. Just like UAE, just like Portugal, Just like South Africa.

as far as I know, he was assistant to Mohajerani at Padideh last year, in the same FAASSED league. then he chose to take a job at Teraktur as an assitant, for one of the biggest Fassed people in Iran (zenouzi) who owns TWO teams in the so called professional league which is against the rules in every single country in the world (including Afghanistan). But Mr. Taghavi didn't seem to have a problem with that or any problem with going from Padideh to Teraktur then. but now he says he is leaving because Iranian football is Fassed!!!! Ok, we got it. he is anther new found nationalist!!

someone should ask him if you say Carlos is standing against the Mafia with his comments, why don't you follow in his foot steps and name some of those guys that you are referring to in your post? Really? So you don't know who the culprits are after all of us have named many of them here? Start with PP and its sponsors and work your way down as a start and also look into Mr Afazali and so called Dr Haratian and PEC while you are at it.
