Really good performance by the team. Don’t let the score line fool you, this could’ve easily been 4-0, 5-0 if Taremi and Azmoun finished their chances.

We always start off games playing so so nervous, and Hosseini just had such an awful game. Glad we have that superhuman in goal Beiranvand. Seriously, what is Europe waiting for?

Two Alireza's were our heroes today! Ashkan was the amazing engine that never stopped! Glad for Shojaei to finally make an appearance!

Azmoun was just so impressive. He created so many chances, played phenomenal. Whoever has ever criticized this guy for any reason should take a good look at themselves in the mirror. I don't think he;s ever had a bad game!

Unimpressed with Amiri once again

After Beiranvand stopped all sorts of horrible permutations with his beautiful save, TM did very well to control the game.

This Oman team played well, they pushed and were very strong but were not fit enough in the end.

Only real negative for me was Hosseini playing very poorly. He's not all there in this tournament. He's late to the ball and out of position often.

On to China.

The previous games don't matter. China could show up and play great for all we know.

One of Masouds first moves is a poorly timed dribble to give the ball away. Masouds pace is off...I think retirement needs to be considered soon.

Had he retired not sure our WC participation and AC participation would have been guaranteed or run smoothly.

Masoud's getting cameo time like most stars. He certainly deserves it.

If Beiranvand doesn't go to Europe soon then it's rigged. He's solid.

I watching BEIN sports and they brought in the Omani version of Ali Daee, and he said something never uttered and never I though we could hear! " We all saw the huge difference in Technical, in tactics, coaching and in fitness with the Iranian team" !! This is from a country that spends huge amounts on their football like other Persian Gulf countries! Kudos to CD!!!!

That’s not true. They will be reset AFTER quarterfinals.

I don't expect CQ to replace Taremi and Azmoun because, although they didn't take their chances today, they still get the combination play to generate them. Azmoun is basically our best central defender when we concede free kicks and corners too with his heading.

Cheshmi I really liked for the few minutes he was in. If he isn't in a centre defence position he is a good player

Milmo was good i thought again defensively he needs to start next game.

Beiro and Ashkan were sublime.

Amiri will be a big miss for me - the guy runs a lot, covers ground that other players just can't.

I'm mad that Sardar didn't score some of his chances, but I will say that I absolutely LOVED that he signaled to Beiro where the penalty was gonna go. I really believe that Beiro listened to him. He gets an assist on that save as far as I'm concerned 😁.

Ashkan has replaced Masoud as the QB in the new and improved CQ system.

And he is doing a marvelous job.
