I want South Korea and Qatar to win.

South Korea because they deserve it with Son at the helm, and Qatar because they also deserve it with their play as of recent months.

I always enjoy seeing Bahrain lose after their stunt in 2001. Lest we forget that there was actually a time when we'd lose 3-1 to teams like Bahrain. Dameh CQ garm.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

the question is Korea v Qatar...who has the edge...Qatar can go all the way ..but if Iraq win..then its Korea to final ...Qatar will give the Koreans a good fight

I would prefer an Arab-less final, simply due to referee shenanigans

Call me crazy but I have a feeling Bahrain is gonna cause a lot of trouble for S. Korea and may even take it further and eliminate them.

Dammit can’t wait till this Thursday when we encounter China. I want a sweet 2004-semifinal revenge! [emoji41][emoji41][emoji41] [emoji197]

Qatar will most likely win against Iraq. They are a quality side this year. In the other game I certainly give the edge to Korea.

While I agree things have improved over the last few years there have been some peculiar scores under CQ's reign as well...few weeks ago we drew Palestine as a reminder. Big teams will always have slip ups...granted they are never easy to accept.

we drew them in a meaningless friendly. australia beat oman 5-0 then lost their first match to jordan. qatar lost to uzbekistan a few months ago, but were the best team in the group stage. friendlies don't mean jack

I pay no heed to friendlies. They are just there for experimentation. Ivic lost 7-1 to AS Roma B in 1998 but still built a strong team for the World Cup itself

Actually that's my point. Teams win and lose against various opponent in different competitions...also we were the best in group stage? Based on what? We drew Iraq and beat mighty Vietnam and Yemen...Qatar got all 9 pts...these comments are so subjective. None of these ideas matter if we don't win AC which I think we can all agree is our aim!

Can’t find a link to the game but according to the stats Bahrain have made a stronger start. Looking at the possession, Korea have all the ball and Bahrain playing on counter.
