The Afif brothers are also Yemeni and Tanzanian.
However, if they're born in Qatar I don't count it against them.

There are tons of teams that play well against Iran in Asia, but they're really quite bad.
Nokhodi please tell me first which of my posts gave you the right to say that i was supporting Iraq.
Please check my recent posts and try to differentiate between observations/predictions and routing/supporting for a
        Team.
True that there are many Teams that perform well against Iran f.e. Oman, Jordan,Uzbekistan, Syria (i am taking
out the Giants KSA, Japan, S.Korea, Australia). Yet none of these Teams have the record that Iraq have in the Asian Cup.
If you are still convinced that Iraq is third-tie than i pass my question to you, which Teams are second-tier?
        Thank you!

As I said - they are a overachieving Asian Cup team. They are a tournament team, they constantly are at bottom of the table in the World Cup qualifiers and their friendlies are not really impressive (until recently). They lost 4-0 to Argentina's 2nd/3rd team.

Here is the list based on evidence:

1st Tier: Iran, Australia, S. Korea, Japan
2nd Tier: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Uzbekistan
          3rd Tier: Iraq et al.

Even Syria, in recent memory, have been more impressive than Iraq, especially in World Cup qualifiers - and their country is in a civil war.

You guys do realize that they haven't beaten us in an official game (90 mins) for (correct me if I'm wrong but this is off the top of my head) around 24 years right? The only time they beat us when it mattered was on penalties last Asian Cup and that was mainly because we had 10 men, but they still couldn't beat us in 120 mins with an extra man. Iraq always loses to us...we beat them in Asian Cup 2011, beat them in WC 2002 qualifiers home and away, and I am sure if we faced them in Asian Cup 2007 we would've beaten them too in the semifinals. They're not our bogey team, they just got one good result against us in 2015 and that's it. Our bogey team is Saudi Arabia.
-We have the better record against them but still its most of the time close game.

            - Iraq defeat us back in 2017 in a friendly game in Azadi Stadium. When we defeat them back in AC 2011 we were lucky, Iraq had more
            opportunities to score.

            - I agree that KSA trigger us much harder than Iraq. Still i conciser Iraq as a tough opponent!

Honestly, what annoys some of us is that there are Iranian football fans who shit on everything Iranian football related but when it comes to Iraq they buy into all the hype, whether it's a small win or an overaged player.

It was not a friendly, it was a closed-door training match without our European players or legionaries. That is why it's not recorded as a friendly.

We also beat them comfortably in a friendly a week before Asian Cup 2015. It was televised.

Well what did Qatar, UAE and Uzbeks achieve MORE than Iraq in WCQ and AC? None of these Teams ever win the Asian Cup, none of this Teams have a better record against us than Iraq. Even if we consider WCQ, how embarrassing Qatar was in in recent World Cup Qualifier! I would much more prefer to play Uzbeks and UAE than Iraq in this Cup!
Syria had a good performance in the WCQ true enough, but Korea, Uzbeks and Qatar performed very poorly which helped them to perform the way, they did. Yet in Asian Cup they couldn't defeat Palestine and were knocked out in the group stage.
None of this Teams that you have listed as second-tier performed better in the past 15 years and dont have a bigger history than Iraq either.
To put KSA as second-tier is also questionable.

So our last game before the start of the AC 2019 against Qatar ( which we won) doesnt count as friendly too?

That was an official friendly game because we all had both of our players. The closed-door friendly game vs. Iraq we were missing 10+ players because they play in Europe and outside Iran.

Plus, the IFF and IFA (Iraqi) said it was a training match and not an official friendly.

Are you being difficult on purpose?

                          - Qatar just beat Iraq in the Round of 16 and like Iraq, finished as one of the bottom teams in the WCQ.
                          - Uzbeks made it to the Playoffs in 2014 World Cup qualifiers (Iraq finished last in their group). They also finished in Round of 16 exist (better than Iraq cause they went to extra time and penalties) in this year's Asian Cup. They finished ahead of them in last World Cup qualifiers - they had 13 pts, 11 pts for Iraq.
                          - Saudi Arabia doesn't have a bigger history than Iraq? Are you serious?
                          - UAE finished ahead of Iraq in the last World Cup qualifiers (same group) AND they are going to the Quarter Finals in this Asian Cup. They have performed better.

Problem is - facts speak different than your own psychological thinking. Iraq is just not really good outside the Asian Cup (thus far), and even outside the 2007, they needed the biggest refereeing blunder perhaps in Asian CUp history (vs. Iran) to get to the Semi Finals last time.

That one Team missed their European based players is not a criteria to define whether the match was a friendly or not.

                            In different sides like:
                            -https://int.soccerway.com/teams/iraq/iraq/1179/matches/

counting the game between Iran-Iraq under closed doors as an official friendly game.

                            - Why should i be "difficult" on purpose? We have here a normal discussion nothing more ( at least from my
                            point of view).

                            Comment

Qatar should have won 3-0 today, very poor finishing from their end.

IF we end up going to the finals and IF they are the opponent, I think we can hold our own.

That wasn't even an official friendly game as we had no foreign-based players. My point still stands.

Also, in AC2011 they had one of their best ever teams and we had one of our worst...we still won.
