Figured they’d select an ayrab ref for this match...!
On surface it seems a somewhat safer choice country of origin..!??
What this ref like !?any significant controversial decisions in the past !?

He reffed Australia-Uzbek, South Korea-China, and Iraq-Vietnam. No real mistakes.

Google takes weeks to rehash websites for new pages. This wouldn't come up until after the game. I wouldn't worry.

With that said he is a good referee and considering there is VR we shouldn't worry.

The VAR is what I’m worried about

I think he is a good referee

but remember in Venezuela game at first he called a penalty on Taremi (which to me was the correct call) but after VAR he cancelled that.

because of the big big conspiracy against us. The corrupt AFC never used the best Asian referee Faghani for one of our matches, that proves the conspiracy

or maybe because Taqi had a match tonight and can't be in another match in less than 48 hours and Irmatov was referee in one of our matches already (vs Iraq) few days ago and they probably want to save him for another QF (or SF) match.

the guy is good. bikhial. mistakes happen but let's just focus on the match

bingo. you proved the conspiracy , that was smart.

or maybe they are also thinking about the next round. possible semifinal between Iran and Japan. (he can't be involved in two matches in a row for the same team) Iran-China is not a big big match for AFC to use their best referee for that. QAT/KOR and UAE/AUS are supposed to be more close and controversial. even though I won't be surprised if they just don't use Irmatov in QF. Faghani will probably get one of the two remaining QFs and will go home if Iran makes it to the semifinal. Uzbekistan is eliminated makes Irmatov the main candidate for the final or at least one of the semifinals.

there are lots of Arab referees here and we never had one so far, and to me that's totally OK to use an Arab referee for a match against a non-Arab team. these kind of comments remind me of stupid coaches/clubs in IPL always asking to not use this and that referee for our matches.

In general you shouldn't have referees from the remaining countries in the tournament at this stage.

yea or at least a refree from non arab country. we always suffered from them.

Why did you get triggered so much by my reply. I was just asking a simple question lol no need to boil your Khoon !

All im saying is we get the one from qatar who has a team in competition . a ref from uzbekistan or australia or even south korea would've been fine.

Anyway i hope he does good and fair for both teams
