3 points to be deducted from saudi arabia in AFC asian CUP 2023

Apparantly they have used an ineligible player (red card player) in the first match . Hamdan Al-Shamrani was given a red card in previous under 22 competition and according to the rules he was suspended for their match against north korea.

If they don't saudi the AFC , in next asian cup 2023 they have to start with -3 ponts .lol

there needs to be a regulation of some sort. if a player has a red card their name should be in bold or in red to identify that they're ineligible. problem solved.

i hate the 8-0ers just as much as the next guy on this forum, but I'm saying this from a neutral point of view. FIFA needs to do a better job

To be fair this would be a headache for AFC to do that . I remember the same thing happened to us twice. One was for our under 23 and the other one was for sepahan. AFC waited for them to get kicked out then they started mentioning it. I bet AFC knew about it but kept it quite and the japanese found out about this and made it public.

what else are they doing in the AFC to keep busy? just bribing referees to screw us and sanction games in malaysia after our coach begged not to play their as the conditions were risky.

everything is done by computer nowadays. just have a ref submit the bookings via electronics and whoever the official is for the next match looks at the 23 man roster where he sees a bold name, which means ineligible.

I've always hated the red card suspension btw. they should just miss the remainder of the match they got dismissed from. another whole match is too much

what if they commit a red card incident at the 89th minute to stop a goal ?

then they get ejected from the game. have a board of governors that decide whether a suspension should be added or not

And what if a player does the same thing in the 78th minute? Where do you draw the line?

I think it's best to suspend the player and not leave it to anyone's discretion.

Also, if there wasn't a suspension for the next match, players would get more reckless and more unjuries would occur.

MBS will send a specialized team to AFC to look after the -3 points.

It will be brushed under the carpet. Nothing will happen to Saudi FA.
