I love Majid, but right now, I feel like Kanani gives us the best chance to win. This tournament isn't about developing youth, we are trying to win this thing outright, so we need to play with the team and players that gives us the best chance to win now.

Majid has made some colossal mistakes in two of the three matches he's played that could've drastically altered the results of the match (one of which was a knockout match). I don't know what's going on with him mentally, but whatever it is, the last match won't help and it may only get worse.

With that said, I feel like CQ will go with Majid since he may be the better player than Kanani. I know better than to question the King.

He has been very poor this tournament and kanani has luckily proven to be ready. Montazeri is always solid too. I would play one of them alongside Pouraliganji instead. Hosseini hasn’t been himself.

Do you guys remember how much shit Carlos had to deal with when he cut Hosseini? Do you remember the comments and criticism against Carlos when he decided to keep Majid over Jalal. Or Roozbeh over Jalal?

Everyone with a pessimistic nature at that time did not return once Carlos started Cheshmi and then Majid Hosseini. Hamashoon gomshodan peye kareshoon.

You see, the same idiots who bash Carlos end up eating their words and shutting their mouth. What Carlos did was do Iranian football a favor. He put his trust in 2 young center backs at the biggest stage of any footballers life.

Do you know what that does for a football player? The fact that Carlos put his trust in those two not only did Iranian football a huge favor but he did both Roozbeh and Hosseini a favor on an individual level.

Carlos put his trust in those two and did not cower to the pressure from the media. He stood his ground. For a player to get that kind of a trust and to gain that kind of experience against the likes of Spain and Portugal was a big favor for our football. And I could care less who gets offended, but whoever disagrees is a dumbass.

Despite Cheshmi making a mistake vs Turkey, despite all the Persepolis and Esteghlal doubters who spoke out of their buttholes without thinking first, he put his trust in two young players who could become Iran’s next two top future centrebacks alongside Pouraliganji.

Just by putting his trust in Roozbeh Cheshmi and Majid Hosseini he did Team Melli a favor once he is gone.

Now I’m not saying these two players are perfect and that they will become the next best CBs in the world.

But let’s please open our minds and really critically think. Carlos connected 2 generations for the betterment of Iranian football for at least 4-6 more years. That is a fact.

To be honest personally for me it was the way he was cut that hurt because he had given so much for us.
