Azmoun has been fighting the whole first half and he earned that assist and the second goal, what an effort.

Taremi was cool and calm for this first goal. Missed another sitter, but his teamwork and initial goal makes up for it.

ARJ has been visible in many of the plays and lead up to attacks. He's working hard to get involved in the action. A couple of shots off target, but he's getting there.

The mid-field and defense has been solid and thwarted a most likely Chinese goal with nerves of steel (looking at you Rezaian).

Overall, great first half, looking forward to more of the same in the second half.

Those of you ripping Taremi. Let me remind you of Rasoul Kahtibi who was infinitely worse than Taremi and quite possibly the worst striker that that ever played for TM

CQ should start pulling players around the 65min mark. Save azmoun, ashkan, and someone carrying a yellow.

His first touch is horrible. He can't past a third-tier defender. His crossings are non-existent. His run with the ball over the line was telling. Stop acting like your regular fanboy and open your eyes.

Come on, stop this crap. If he wanted to fvck us over he could have easily called for a foul after the VAR told him to review Azmoun's goal.

They even called China's big chance an off-side although it wasn't one. These referees are doing a good and fair job so far, kudos to them. Sometimes we have to give credit where it's due.

Totally agree Amin jaan, the ref. has been consistent... he didn't think there was enough contact on Taremi and he didn't think there was enough contact from Azmoun.

The VAR team is another story because they let the 1st one go and called a review for much less contact on the goal. Apparently, AFC's official explanation for the review was for offside so let's stay positive.

I did think the Chinese play was offside though, not the 1st pass but the cross was definitely offside.

I still love the guy's game though, he is such a fking beast physically and simply a constant a menace to opposition defenders ..!! his offensive intangible contributions are simply immense and he is pivotal to our attacking scheme..!!

the one thing encouraging i've noticed with him in this tourney so far is that he seems very intent on Putting away chances with 1 touch, rather than molesting the ball as he has historically ..!! however he has been hit n miss (mostly miss ) so far with his success rate on the quality final touch..!!
