Enough already. You're a grown man with supposedly a good education that you desperately want everyone to know about. Acting like a loos high school kid on the internet is beneath you.

By your answer to my questions above I take it you acknowledge that we had no national pro league and no camps prior to the 1968 tournament. Correct?
I acknowledge that you either love trolling, or you're a painfully insecure man who doesn't understand that what you're doing right now is far more embarrassing than conceding a point in an online discussion.

It seems like you still did not respond to the question. Perhaps you are unclear as to the definition of the terms mentioned (such as professional league, friendlies and camps) so let me provide some clarification with an example: Today we have a professional league and TM has friendlies and camps. With that clarification please tell me if I am right to assume that by your answer to my questions above you acknowledge that prior to the 1968 Asian Championship we had no national pro league and no friendlies or camps. Is that correct?

I honestly feel bad for you at this point. I think you and I are around the same age. And I can't imagine what you must be going through to act like this.

All I wanna know is if we had TM camps and a pro league in 1968 (the friendlies we already determined we didn't have). Just give me a simple yes or no answer so we can move on.

We joined AFC in 1954. Kuwait which was THE Asian Arab power in the 70s didn't even join till 1964. Iraq joined in 1970. Saudis in 72. The team we consider our "classic rival" today wasn't even part of the AFC when we won our first Asian Cup!

It makes no sense to ignore all this when comparing the different eras. There is no denying we had a lot of talent, but that generation had top notch management and quality preparations off the field while most of its opponents did not. Today that equation is exactly the opposite! That generation wasn't stuck with the piss poor federation and pathetic preparations our current guys have to deal with, and never had to face teams with ten times its own budget and major connections behind the scenes in those Asian Cups.

Kuwait was the only team that resembled the kind of Arab teams we play today, and the 1976 final against them was a close 1-0 encounter despite being played in Tehran.

These are huge, huge factors that are impossible to ignore.
I was in the stadium. They had oversold Azadi by about 10,000 seats. It was standing room only and people were rushing from one entrance to another trying to get in. Because the majority were standing, it was tough to see the match, but it's true that it was a difficult 1-0 victory for us.

Instead of a vague answer, can you tell me your age?
my age is irrelevant to this discussion and yes, my viewpoint is unbiased because I actually saw TM matches in the 70's. How many did you see in real time back in those days ?

OK thanks for the clarification. It's just that I see too many people make such discussions without having enough info on our past generations and thus automatically assume everything post November 1997 is better.

As in live? Zero. I never set foot in a stadium until late 1990.
