3. Kanani has developed into a great CB for us and CQ's faith in him has been delivered!
4. China had several good opportunities to score so we need to do better in defense.
5. Glad to see Hajsafi back in his spot next to Omid!
6. Jahanbakhsh still looks shaky and I am beginning to think its best to use him as a sub.
Agree with all of this.
I've seemed to agree with every starting line up CQ has chosen so far ,but I wonder if he would do Ghoddos-Torabi and leave JB on the bench.

Amazing game, amazing day, amazing coaching, simply everything was amazing today. Did not feel like a crucial quarterfinal match. It felt like our boys were having fun in a friendly game, not being scared of anything, while being all cautious, not to ruin the day.
Azmoun was the shining star of the match. The guy was literally present in all areas hustling like a striker/midfielder/defender. Today was perhaps one of his best TM footballing days and maybe even one of his best footballing days all together. Taremi was a beast, apart from his bizarre blunder on empty net, he was a complete player, running, play making and doing everything a world class player is expected to do. Rezaeian was another stand out for me, he is fast, he is furious, he is fierce, he also smartassly has highlighted the front of his hair without getting caught or picked on
Kudos to Queiroz and his boys for having displayed such phenomenal performance in winning in style with such great conviction. Quite commendable. I just love how he celebrates upon scoring goals, feels like a dad who enjoys watching his kids play beautifully and win games. You can clearly see how much he cares about TM and his boy. Gotta love this man. He will be dearly missed, even his enemies will one day realize how foolish they were for not having acknowledged his brilliance!
Oh I get the "Underdog" sarcastic trend here on PFDC. However in reality WE ARE THE DOGS!!!! Vicious, ruthless and hungry loyal dogs. Bring it on Japan!!!!!

They literally were begging & praying for china to score a goal throughout 2nd half.
You could easily mistake them to be chinese comms. They were THAT biased.
so the 3-0 felt like someone raped their cat in front of them! stupid idiots, whoever they were

watching the arabic highlights, you can see the Arab comm is far more neutral and even slightly FOR Iran than those english f**ktards.
In fact plenty of our own comms are downright shitty ass holes too.
for example when PAG got injured (from my half arsed arabic that I remember from school) the arab comm was wishing both players health and recovery. I seriously doubt if our own fools at IRIB would say such things if an arab player was down with a head injury.
(hell, some might even take things too far below sense).

Fantastic match today. I thoroughly enjoyed every second (except when Taremi missed that sitter).
I love Taremi, and I always defend him, but that miss was inexcusable. Misses like that can come back to haunt you against better opponents. Otherwise, he had a good match with 1 goal and 1 assist. He'll be sorely missed vs. Japan. I wonder who CQ will lineup instead. Saman? Torabi? Karim?
Azmoun was an absolute beast. He was bigger, faster, and stronger than anyone on the pitch, and he knew it. China couldn't stop him.
Ehsan was awesome today and his inclusion in midfield was one of the reasons our team flowed and linked up so well. I wonder what CQ will do vs Japan, whether he will reinsert Amiri or keep Ehsan. I assume he'll go with Amiri to solidify our defense a bit more.
I am really happy Karim scored. Good for his confidence considering he's had limited minutes this AC. Hopefully he'll be good to go if we need him.
Kanani was pretty good on D and showed he can contribute coming forward. Had a few half-chance headers and that great one-touch pass to Taremi on that sitter. He solidified his starting role in my eyes.
Ramin is a beast, saved another goal (reminded me of the Spain match).

back to taremi. Taremi wastes a lot of chances yes, but he also creates a lot of chances. He positions himself well. He hustles and helps defend. He links up very well with sardar. He is a physical presence. Given as we don't have ali daei or vahid hashemian playing anymore, taremi is our best option to play alongside sardar.
I don't like taremi being compared to arash borhani. Borhani would miss 99/100 chances. He is Iran's best golnazan of all time. taremi makes like 1/3 chances or so. No player scores every chance. he scored a sitter and assisted a goal and missed another great chance.
We will miss taremi next game.
