I rather play Japan Australia and Korea then play Qatar & UAE, these arabs are dirty and AFC will protect them till the end. However I think this TM is unique and is ready to adapt to any situation. The final is Monday vs Japan, they are the only team that can play with us in Asia, We are the under dogs vs Japan

Can someone post highlights of the grass rolling I missed the game. What at terrible mistake by the Aussie defender to gift UAE that goal.

Interestingly 3 of the Semifinals teams are from Persian Gulf region. Not sure if this has ever happened before?

Well the AFC can't just give the game to UAE/Qatar. Don't foul inside the box (not even a 50-50), don't get into physical altercations off the ball, and score first. No excuses if we make the final.

I have a feeling AFC rather have Iran win over Japan. I don't think they want Japan against one of the Arab teams.

Nothing funny about them; they were both offside.

There is absolutely zero chance that Qatar beats the UAE.

Not at home, not in front of the home crowd, especially the royal family of the UAE (MbZ and others have been in attendance the last few games).

But... if a miracle happens and Qatar beats the UAE, the UAE authorities will 100% make it impossible for Qatar to win the cup. Could you imagine if the UAE authorities had to stand up for the Qatari national anthem? and hand out gold medals to Qatar? .. in the middle of this blockade. They would rather have Iran win it.

This is Iran's tournament to lose, of course barring bad luck and VAR.... I expect Iran vs UAE in the final.

But SK or especially Australia did not deserve the spot on the final. I only hope UAE does not make it to the final as they really don't deserve a spot over a very good Qatari side.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

I haven't seen that much of him, but I can't imagine him being the greatest compared tot he new generation ( with new generations height, speed etc obviously they are far more superior than most guys from back in the day)

He is also picked as Asia's goali of an "all time team".

Hey! Just got back home and saw this. Unfortunately, Hejazi was way before my time but I imagine it's a mix of 3 things:

                          1. Ability. For those that have seen him play, they can attest to this. The very fact that Manchester United wanted to sign him should be indicative of his skills.

                          2. Consistency. It's one thing to be talented but it's another thing to stay at the peak of your craft for a prolonged period of time. As mentioned, he was a top goalkeeper for longer than a decade.

                          3. Leadership. You will always have someone wearing the captains armband but it doesn't always mean that the person is a leader. Players like Abedzadeh, Hejazi, Nekounam, Mahdavikia, and Daei were true leaders and you could sense that charisma when you would see them.

                          4. Character. For many, Hejazi was a real gentleman and it was easy to like him beyond the pitch. Even after the revolution, he remained very modern and liberal while others seemed to be more conservative and conforming to the system. On numerous occasions, Hejazi would speak out on the problems in Iran (similar to what Daei does today).

Taking all 4 factors into consideration, it's easy to see why Hejazi and Abedzadeh are both seen as our greatest keepers. Someone like Beiranvand is talented and has certainly hit his stride in the last 18 months but it's still too early to judge him.

Shame I was looking forward to meeting the Aussies in the final and hand them a thrashing , the best strategy against the arabs is to go out and destroy them in the first 20 minutes and then let them chase the game and hit them on counters .

we should leave no ifs or buts , we should go out and play as if we need to win by 3 goals ,leaving no doubt who is the boss.
