Regarding Nakajima, that may be what the fan things but clearly the coach differed in opinion. At the end of the day these are just friendlies and he may have been trying out new things, just like CQ does.

Regarding Shoji and others including okazaki and kagawa, clearly he wants to change things a little but I have no doubt that this is Japan's first team as per what their coach has wanted

I can confidently say that this is the 1st time Iran is playing against Japan and we are not at all worried. It's like saying "bring it on bitches".

Sister of Socceroos forward Awer Mabil killed in car crash while he was playing against UAE.

Condolences to him and his family on this tragic event. He fought like a true warrior for his country and needs the support of his country to deal with this unimaginable grief.

Honestly, one of the only things that worries me about TM anymore is all of CQ’s underdog/apex predator chat.

We get it, the players get it - we shouldn’t be complacent. But, we are the strongest team in Asia now and should go into games like the Japan with that belief to be confident and dominant.

The words "worry" and "CQ" should never go together in a sentence. You should know by now that we have the best coach in the world, who knows EXACTLY how to approach every match/opponent (including the pre-match psychology). On top of that, we have the most versatile, talented, team-oriented, and physically fit team in the past 40 years. Individual talent can win games, but a talented team wins championships.

Agree with you in the most part, but (and I’m reluctant to bring up the whole debate again now) I do feel there’s sometimes an unnecessarily small team mentality against some teams that leads to an overly defensive and cautious approach in the players that ultimately hurts us. For me it starts with that kind of apex predator chat.

I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Korea on other hand had their A team with late addition of son.
I had heard that Copa America will have a guest team from Asia, but is it always going to be like that? And what the criteria was to have picked Japan as the representative of Asia? Although they’ve always been a decent team, but they haven’t won anything in Asia since 2011.

Honestly, Iran should never be worried to play ANY asian opposition.
If Iran plays the way it can no asian team can beat them.

This was the sentiment in 2004 when we beat South Korean team that included Park. We then lost against China in the semifinals.

Let's be humble and IF we win, we can celebrate.

I never said not be humble..simply stating that we should not be worried to face asian opposition rather be confident.
Being confident is different from being arrogant.

When we say we are the underdogs we mean it as a tarof.
