The Aussies TV football analysts predicted Iran and Qatar in the final. Honestly I think Qatar will crush UAE, it's unthinkable how luckily UAE has reached this far into the semis.

Once again bias aside Iran plays the best football this edition of Asian Cup. On paper we must defeat Japan and also win the final. Let's hope luck factor also accompanies our merits!

The most important and exciting match of the tournament will be Iran vs Japan. Have to give it to Qatar, they beat some good teams to get there, so they deserve what is happening to them. I hope they take care of UAE, i don't want meet host in final and specially if it is UAE.

Perhaps you would be one of the few who can answer this question; why is Hejazi so popular? Was he really that much of a better goali than Beiranvand and Abedzadeh (or has it do with the fact that he won the cup?)
I haven't seen that much of him, but I can't imagine him being the greatest compared tot he new generation ( with new generations height, speed etc obviously they are far more superior than most guys from back in the day)


He is also picked as Asia's goali of an "all time team".

Bro we won 3 consecutive Asian cup titles in the 70s.

Given our goalkeeper then was this guy, Asia's eagle, there is no way anyone else could be in this list.

I think for Beiranvand and even Abedzadeh to match his legacy for Asia, let alone for the Asian Cup, they need to have to have dominated the position for at least a decade in Asia.

All three are fantastic goalkeepers of course and a gift to our country.

The fan list is terrible.

Mahdavikia is not a CB. There would have to be 4 man backline and he would be on the right. Zheng Zhi? Really? I don't see how Nashat Akram did anything more than Hidetoshi Nakata, Javad Nekounam, Ando, Taissir Al Jassim, Shunsuke Nakamura etc.
