We shouldn't play the way we did against Portugal, we should play the way we did against China. The Japanese team is young and would be prone to mistakes under high intensity and pressure; just look at the opportunity they gifted Vietnam with that back pass.

When teams are more or less evenly matched, most of the times it is the individual brilliance(s) that decide the outcome. both teams will have their shots, albeit may not be many, but how ever many there are, who will take advantage of their chances? in that sense, and in a very ironic way, there may have been some "kheyriat" in Taremi not being there as he always seems like he has to miss at least one easy chance in the game, and this is not one of those games that we can afford that. we will have him for Qatar inshalah and there he can miss one and it won't matter.

IMO, the right side of Japan with RB Sakai and winger Doan needs special attention. I be shocked if both Amiri and Hajsafi are not starting tomorrow. Amiri (assuming he is replacing Taremi in the formation) has to make life hard for Sakai but just enough not to get red carded. As is, he makes too many hard and often unnecessary fouls! so he has to be careful with that.

this is a game that has the potential to turn into a bore fest as both teams are built to defend really well, specially when sitting back, but it can also become a match for the ages, with lots of excitement and maybe even a few goals.

Some people here wanna make a big "Ghool" out of japan ! They are strong team since they are professional but they are not that cordinated at the moment ! specially in their deffense line! I watched 4 of their games and their deffense line is not that great !

Just imagine if CQ kicked out 5-6 well known players from the team ! people would go crazy ! We already saw what happened when CQ kicked out Seyed Jalal hosseini! This is the backward mentality that most iranians have ! You just cant accept the facts here !

First of all this Japan team on the Average is less than a year younger than our Team, if you replace Ashkan, Pejman and Masood with some up and coming youngsters we would be younger than them. Now to answer your supposed factual Questions
1- Just because a certain players played at the WC does not qualify them as the best that nation has to offer. Fact.
Obviously the technical staff of Japan has selected the very best they could come up with as did every other team. Fact
2- Again they have been together long enough for the coaching staff to decide these are the very best Japan had at this moment in time. Fact
3- Com'on man now your grabbing at straws. What they did in 2015 is absolutely immaterial in your totally fact less argument. If this was a valid point then Argentina, Germany England, and so many more are what?
4- How in the hell do you assume that Japan, Brazil, Spain, England or anyone else is going to qualify for Semis in the WC22? Are you a fortune teller too? If so then I predict Iran will make it to final of WC22 and Japan won't come out of the Groups!!?? Is that a valid assumption?
5- Sensational WC for Japan? Really? How about they made it to second round by the skin of their teeth in a very doable group. If you want sensational performance ask the Portuguese, the Spaniards and Moroccans who was sensational. If Japan had been in the same group as Iran they would have finished dead last with Zero points and -7 or 8 goal difference. Fact
Now my suggestion to you is consult with your "uncle" he might give you a little better idea in what is fact and what is bunch of non sense stats that have no bearing on the issue at hand.
PS. The only reason you have doubts about Iran's opponents is because this TM is so strong it is making everyone else look and feel weak. Let's face it, Japan has been lucky to be here at Semis. Every win was narrow and was helped with old fashion good luck. I realize luck always play a role, but there is also a time, when good luck runs out. Unfortunately for Japan, that would be tomorrow and the timing may also work well for them, as they need to go and concentrate on winning the Copa America. Did anyone else notice that the AFC promo video of the Iran-Japan game featured amazing highlights of TM, including some of the best goals and saves by TM; However, the Japanese highlights were really boring, and featured several of their shots being BLOCKED by the OPPOSING team! Even AFC recognizes which team is the more exciting one!
