After we go 1:0 down there was hope of recovery but when the penalty come and it was 2:0 I feel like it was over....

It was stupid for us to leave that ball alone and Japan make it 1:0 I did not expect that from the best defense and the penalty could be prevented 2:0

Iran played really good and lost on 1) a very bad defensive mistake were 4 of our players froze thinking ref is calling a foul. 2) an absolute “no penalty” call. The 3rd goal was just because Iran put everything on attack in the last 5 minutes since they knew it didn’t matter.

This is football and anything could happen. Sometimes it goes our way like in the Morocco game, and sometimes it doesn’t, like today.

Let’s have some spine and win or loose las a team.

I think calling hurt fans spineless is gutless. Perhaps we wish we had a team that didn't have to rely on luck to win big matches. A more clinical team in offense and defense with the same structure and professionalism CQ preached to us. If we want your definition of football than let's higher Talebi or GN right away!

CQ has been saying this all along. Let's accept the fact that we are not the number one football nation in Asia. Japan has been investing for decades and they know what they are doing. They had better concentration than us. They had better playmaking than us. One could say we shot ourselves in the foot, yet the fact is that they didn't and took advantage of our mistakes. Exact same thing that we did against China. The better team won today. It's hard right now but the sooner we accept that reality the faster we could recover.

My prediction is that CQ era is over. I don't think IFF has the will or wisdom to keep him. Let's hope they don't make any stupid moves in terms of our next coach.

His emotions got the best of him, a away a coach behaves on the sidline reflects on his team on the pitch, he made japan too big even before the tournament. he created a uge hashiya after the second game and the list goes on. He left out some players that would have been useful in this tournament and he got out classed by a young Japaneses coach
