Our WC performance is overrated. Spain and Portugal were just poor.

When was the last time we had a successful player in a top league?

What im thinking is if we really aren't that good and going to lose anyway why cant we at least try to play good football?
I dont care if we lose if we play some good football.
CQ keeps talking about "playing good football" and goes on and on about this well he seems to have a different definition to playing good football.
Is playing good football hoofing the ball up to our lone striker every 2nd minute?
Gosh i dont even care that we lose but just try to play some good football it actually pisses me off its not in our genetics to play defensive.

The result of keeping away from any decent opponents & being satisfied with playing the likes of Palestine and Kuwait : We NEVER know how to play against decent opposition.
We also don’t know how to COME BACK from behind against good defenses.


If we concentrate on USELESS ranking and stats (to use as bragging rights), then this will be the result. Our weaknesses get exposed at the worst possible moments!



From the beginning of the game our approach was as if we’re facing the likes of yemen or oman, instead of a well organized, professional japan. I say this bcoz we relied only on HOPEFUL LOBS & HOOFS from defense to the single forward , who always was crowded by 3-4 capable defenders.

You may get lucky with this tactic against 30+ yr old Chinese defenders or amateurish Yemenis. But you shd know better, as a famous int’l coach that you cant afford to rely on opposition mistakes, while effectively taking out your midfield from the game.



We also shd learn how to lose like men. And not behave like little spoiled children and fight (referring to the last minute scarp). Which goes to show we are NOT professionals in our game as well as attitude.




The way our players reacted just before the 1st goal was absolutely horrendously amateurish, while the ball was still in play, they focused on their b*tching!
I doubt even Yemeni players would commit such mistakes! But hey, lets forget about that and concentrate on Asian ranking!!!



We NEED to face tough oppositions.
We NEED to get pressed and overpowered in prep games.
We NEED to get thrashed and beaten badly in test games.
We NEED to fall behind in friendlies to LEARN how to play in such situations.
Our players look lost against decent teams and games where we NEED to win.

I see many fans say “this is the worst game I’ve seen from TM”.

Well, when you’re playing in asia and you’re SUPPOSED TO WIN, then those gladiator-like, bus parking and defensive wall tactics of World Cup games (that we all quote as our highpoints) is out the picture.
You’re supposed to win decent opponents. And defending like gladiators is NOT the approach.

We were on top of Japan for 60 minutes. We switched off for 2 seconds and that destroyed our tournament. If we didn't switch off we would have won this game and Japan would have had 0 shots on target the entire game.

Stop over-reacting. We lost not because "we aren't that good", but because we switched off for 2 seconds. That is football.

CQ built up this team to play counter attacking. The issue we have seen numerous times is this team is unable to score when facing tougher opposition, so when we concede first we will most likely lose. It happened today and happens all the time.

Game, set and match for CQ. IFF and backers win and get to have him fired. CQ has another failure on his resume.

We had to play Japan before in friendly so we know how they play. IFF is responseble for this we had before Asian Cup play in Tehran and Tokoy

Precisely. Relax everyone. It’s ok. We do this at every tournament. One day our turn will come. Be happy we made it this far. And don’t be blaming IRI like we always do haha...it’s football!

Look we are not bad. Let's be real here, after that penalty we gave up it was unfortunate. We played well in WC and the Asian cup. The problem was that CQ had too defensive of a game plan. Japan is not that much better than us but by playing hopeful long balls to Azmoun we played into their hands. One guy said it best, he showed too much respect to Japan. CQ has coached all over the world and our players play in the same leagues as the Japanese, we just got our tactics all wrong and gave them this victory.

CQ likes defensive football and that’s not exiting. We need a coach that likes to play offensive. Beating a no name teams like the ones we did isn’t honar. Great players lousy performance
