isn't it amazing that every discussion involving CQ must include references to "Brangoh" or MK.. seriously guys?
Your world class coach has become so "badbakht" that every chance you get you have to compare him with "goh" to show that he is better?? WTF!!
with friends like you, Carlos needs no enemies.

I hope not only CQ leaves but he takes all players and fans that see him bigger than tm with him. I am not joking about Mayeli Kohan. He is great at finding talents and most importantly building us a new team. What has CQ done that Mayeli kohan cannot do? Does CQ care more about Iran than Mayeli Kohan? If someone and I know a lot here will answer yes, then they need their heads examined. King carlos was no king of football maybe king of hearts but no football. We all saw for 8 years TM played kick and chase. TM played so much better under Mayeli Kohan that it is a shame that we are so biased and khareji parast.

In my opinion carlos had more gheyrat and love for Iran than many Iranians. He is Portuguese yet he fought hard to eliminate portugal in favor of Iran. My guess would be some will call Carlos vatanforoosh. I call Carlos the classiest, most successful and highest qualified coach we ever had. The players and him shared a special bond. He stood up for them, he worked his tail off for them despite all the opposition and lack of cooperation. He never gave up. We never fully utilized his potential as our friendlies were against sierra leonne, trinidad, palestine, syria, while the other asian teams would play top ranked teams. Our government did not invest in our football like qatar, saudi, uae, let alone the power houses japan, korea, Australia. We expect too much when they are given so little. I am very proud of our players and am grateful for their performance, hard work and sacrifice. They gave their sweat, hearts, tears and blood to defend Iran’s name and to bring Iranians joy.

Cq got a C+ from me I get it you give A+ for 70% grades but in my grading system 98% is A+. Now please allow other with differing opinions on his stats and performance express themselves. He did not win or achieve anything of substance worth all these noise and money. Now I can say that and still respect him as a TM coach. When you respect TM you respect anyone who worked and swat for it. Talking about performance respectfully is completely necessary and we must think critically not with our oghdehs.

Carlos and Tm’s success is like a poor kid growing up in a poor ghetto neighborhood but having a father figure to mentor, tutor and fight off the gangs with the result being the kid getiing into Harvard University. Out team, our coach weren’t given the resources they deserved yet they performed beyond expectations. One can hope and dream for a fairy tale ending, but success requires investing and planning not just talent. Other teams improve as they invest in their teams, they have long term plans and follow them, we can hope to beat them, but the more likely result is those that invested more and planned better win.

I would give Carlos A- and think he was the best coach we ever had but like every human being had his flaws.
He did great in disciplining our players. Getting rid of self entitled players such as Rahmati and Aghili was an excelent move.
He did great defensively we could create a fantastic web on the field that could frustrate any opponent.
The general tactic of playing defensive and closed games was a logical move. He did the best he could with what was available
What brings down the mark was his refusal to look for creative midfielders, being in charge of the national team for 8 years was enough time to look for and help develop such players. After the world cup he should have pushed to find some of these creative players from our league and retire likes of Dejagah who are way past their prime.
Sometimes his ego got the best of him, the drama with Branco was unnecessary at times.

As much as I hate to say this, the poor kid was not poor and did not get to Harvard and only got as far as his old school. He also created a gang that fought and swore at our heroes for not thinking the world of him. He also alienated a team and millions of its fans and insulted them because he had personal issues with its coach. He called one of our greatest players ever a "bozdel". He did not win anything and his highest achievement was to make Iran's 9th semifinal in an easier tournament facing easier opponents and was handed the biggest defeat in our history. many experts said that everyone was onto our tactics and his hand was read now after 8 years. His team did not play attractive football and many of our opponents were handpicked by him with him refusing some strong friendlies.

Just to clarify I always supported and was a ghermez fan, but I disapprove of the current persepolis against tm stance and do not respect branko. He has done well with persepolis but he wasted our 2006 team. He didn’t come to Iran with the team after losing and disappointing miserably. Ghalenoei I hate with a passio. he has been one of the worst if not the Worst tm coach ever. Him and branko wasted our golden generation team. These same two incompetent tm coaches are the ones that created such division. Didn’t they do enough harm failing with TM despite our most talented team ever?

I remember the league wa supposed to release players for the camps but branko and ghalenoei didn’t release players. I remember Ali daei being the only manager to fully cooperate with Carlos. As far as atttractive football that is an opinion. Korea hasn’t defeated us once in 8 years. So I guess at least Korea didn’t read our coach’s hand, portugal didn’t read his hand, morocco didn’t read his hand, China didn’t read his hand. Experts praised Iran in both world cups under Carlos. Who are you calling a hero? His many achievements were making the final four of asian cUp. Two consecutive world cup appearances for the first time in our history. Being undefeated against korea for 8 years. Holding the world record for highest minutes in world cup qualifiers without conceding a goal. Creating a very deep team where the reserves can perform just about as well as our starters. The only decision I diasagreed with was leaving out seyed jalal at the time, but majid hosseini and kananizadegan performed well and we didn’t need seyed jalal as much as I wish he was in our squad as he is one of my favorite players. I don’t recall him calling seyed jalal a bozdel. Are you referring to ali karimi the immense talent who never developed into his full potential? The fact is Carlos was TM coach and TM is the most important team representing Iran. Priority should be given to TM. Everyone should cooperate for the benefit of the team. Unfortunately in our culture people consider themselves an expert in every field yet they have no clue what’s going on. Iranians consider themselves more knowledgeable than a doctor when it comes to medicine for example. “Doctorha heechi haleeshoon nist”. We need to learn to let the experts to do their job. We are also easily fooled by lies and deceit. After nearly 40 years many can read the hand of our current regime and don’t fall for their lies, sadly many still believe their lies.
People say he made great decisions getting rid of Rahmati and seyed Jalal but this is opinion. Maybe we would not have lost To Iraq in the Asian cup had we had a proper goalie. Maybe seyed jalal would not have made the mistake Kananizadegan made. Maybe he should have taken Azmoun to the world cup in Brazil. There are lots of assumptions that can be made. fact is he did not exceed our capabilities and capacity. The semis was our 9th! I ask you since you are such a respectful person, what is bekesh ziresh football? What is park the bus? We have never played such bad football. We played Iraq like they were Brazil. In fact we played alot of teams like that. He is known for that internationally. He parked the bus with Portugal and Ronaldo. He parked the bus with Madrid. He will continue to park the bus. It is easy to do and it is also genius because people dont know how powerful of defense it is to get 12 men behind the ball. It truly is 80s defense. CQ is like Puff Daddy making new hits of old 80s songs.
