I was at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi yesterday, and I spotted Herve Rénard making his way in. I basically followed him up the escalator and started speaking to him to ask for a picture.
I told him that I thought Morocco played very well at the World Cup and they were unlucky in their games. He said that Iran plays very well, that he thought we could win the cup (sigh) and that if we played against UAE we should be careful of the referees (lol even he knows the reality).
Anyway here’s the interesting part:
I didn’t even ask him this, but he told me that he would like to coach Iran, if Queiroz leaves. I then asked him about his contract with Morocco and he said he is leaving in the summer, since he does not want to stay!
So maybe, there is a chance of this happening. I didn’t want to spread this news since I thought he may have told me this personally, but after today’s outcome I feel like many fans here may like to have some hope of a great coach, who wants to manage our team!

Also, Gol Bezan tweeted about this yesterday: https://twitter.com/PashaHajian/stat...19893870182400 - they are usually in the know, so hopefully it can work out if Queiroz leaves (and honestly, poor guy deserves a stable situation like Colombia).

But in all seriousness, we can work around it by paying in Euros or in Turkish Lira. I'm not sure if that's been looked into by IFF, but certainly something to think about.

So it’s very possible that he may leave after the African Cup of Nations in the summer? Who knows, but it’s definitely not impossible if you ask me

Rénard so far seems the main option. Let’s see how it plays out. I am sure for the next 6 months we will be hearing name names of such caliber and reputation.

This golden generation needs to be handed to someone professional who understands our situation and who is a compassionate human being as Carlos was for us. One who will not fear any authority and who’ll speak up and against the corruption.
But if it’s handed off to an inexperienced manager then don’t expect too much from our team. Sure under even a rinky dink coach we may even qualify to the World Cup but this generation who were students of Queiroz, Cruz and our staff will go to waste.
God and the universe be with us in this crucial time with the sanctions and everything else hurting our sport teams.

No Daei, no Ghotbi, no Branko, no Ghalenoei, no Mayelikohan, no Samad Marfavi, no Ali Parvin, no no no..
We need a head coach who will be handed the folder of Carlos Queiroz and who will continue the hard work left behind.
We cannot ruin this generation. We CANNOT break this CHEMISTRY.
If we hire a Persepolis or Esteghlal mentally driven head coach, we may even say goodbye to a few of our legionnaires.. Please do not ruin this team, please I beg of whoever is reading from the IFF.

Losing CQ hurts badly, I just hope we get a decent replacement. Renard would be great honestly..
But I really hope our next coach adress some of our main issues we've seen for the past years:
-Arguing with the ref, we did the same in the world cup, it's pretty embarrassing.
I honestly don't understand why CQ never addressed this? Just tell the players to stfu and play the game.
I guess he is pretty emotional himself too.
-Crumbling under pressure. Every time we are under pressure, our team crumbles. We've been looking like a deer caught in headlights for the past 10 years every time we've conceded the first goal ffs..
