Exactly. That's why I also thought they had heard something that they thought was the ref's whistle.

Taremi in 1st half against Spain had a golden chance as he had beat offside and would have been 1 on 1 w keeper....but stopped cuz he thought he was offside and ref was gonna call it. By the time he realized, Spain defense recovered. Our players need to learn to keep playing and stop looking at refs and beg for mercy. Just fukkin play your game

Can we also talk about giving penalties in the most crucial matches we've had recently?

          Iran vs Iraq 2015
          Iran vs Portugal 2018
          Iran vs Japan 2019

Excellent point. There must be a reason why so many players went to talk to the referee.

0%. That tactic is easily predictable.

                        shocker

can't believe CQ actually permitted this cheesy 'tactic' waste of a throw in and made us prone to counter attacks since we played it like a corner

The unexplainable moment that cost us everything. 100 journalists there, asking stupid questions about tactics, but nobody asked the players that?

Were the players protesting to give the Japanese player a yellow for 'diving ' or were they just saying 'it's not a foul'?

Nevertheless, it was schoolboy errors. It was embarassing.
