Every team makes a mistake, remember Brazil in 98 or Germany in 18?This TM was (and still is) great for a very very long time with amazing numbers, makes a mistake in 55th minute in semi finals that costs them a lot, if something like this had happened in the first game then obviously they could have stayed in the tournament but not in semis.
More than us, they damaged their own dreams and hard work. Dejagah who surprised us so much, Beiranvand with his record and Sardar with his amazing skills against China, disappointed themselves but not the true TM fans. Probably Dejagah will retire now. Gone is his dream of taking TM to the finals and a possible gold. It cost him his dream but you and I lost maybe just the bragging rights, and maybe few dollars on beer, chips or pizza....NOTHING MORE.
You have a right to be disappointed but to not complain and whine. I am really tired of all the negativity I see here. Someone was mentioned we are weaker than Maldives? People like that are either you little emotional children or stupid, either way keep your negativity to yourselves. Jumping on the bandwagon the last second without knowing anything about the team, comments like that is an insult to the entire TM, fans and is not constructive. What TM needs right now is your support, ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY TOOK US TO THE SEMIS and even there performed very well for 55 minutes. This is a team to be very proud of! Where is Korea, China, Saudi Arabia and Australia????
Real TM fans don't behave like this...you can ask questions, among others my own (right or wrong) are; why was Dejagah pulled out? he seems to be the engine of the team. Why did we keep going with long ball for Sardar, was that the only plan we had? I understand few players lost their cool at 55th minute and were paying more attention to the referee than the goal (which I blame our previous experiences with the referees but in this instance I don't think the ref did anything wrong and even if he had let the captain handle it!), but what the game showed is that this team lacked a leadership in the field and an immature captain that chokes opponents (even in last few seconds) doesn't deserve the armband. Having only one attacker "nokeh hamleh" is not enough / was never enough and after Japan chocked him off we couldn't do anything.Emotional players have no room in the team no matter how talented, we are grateful to them, proud of them, but they need to show maturity now or be pulled out forever. TM cannot risk unnecessary cards. leave the communications with Refs to staff and to the Captain in the field. we can ask questions but we cannot whine and be negative.
If you can't take the heat get the hell out of the kitchen! We all need to cool off....I for one will post less until I have cooled off, please keep your negative comments to yourselves particularly on the social media that our players and heroes can see.
