Well at almost 48 , in a couple of months anyway I am not sure how many more "in the next 4 years"
I have left in my life.

Maybe i am in the beginning stages of my midlife crises or something.

Again thank you guys for the kind words, I am grateful.

I remember experiencing the same shock in 2015 but once the world cup qualifier starts and we are on the track again you start forgetting the pain.

Orang jan, I totally am with you and share the very same feelings. I am almost 10 years older than you so I am more worried when it comes to age. Yesterday was truly a terrible day in our football history but I remember so many days like that. I was so disappointed and couldn't stop my tears for a while but honestly didn't lose my passion towards our team at all. As a matter of fact, today I was even more excited about the future and about this group of young and talented players CQ put together. It is not end of the world that we lost to freaking Japan yesterday, believe me we will beat them next time around. I am asking you as a friend to Please stay positive and don't lose hope in our boys. I know about our shortcomings, I know that we have a really crappy management/organization and a very toxic media/environment surrounding our sport and our country but Team Melli is like blood in our arteries without which we can not live. Hope that you won't take too long to come back with all your passions again.

It really burns me that we let Japan once again get the better of us and will be participating in the next Confederations cup if they ever hold one.

Complete lack of focus for a few seconds totally destroyed our dreams.

It was like a bad dream...especially that 1st goal, understand how fed up u are. You've been rooting for them far longer than some of us here. Deja vu has gutted u.

Hope TM lights your fire again in the near future.

I still have lots of hope for TM, our love and prayers keep the fire burning.

Roxanaz same here. the love and fire never dies. i always tell myself that if we are feeling bad then the players would be feeling worse. so we have to keep supporting them.

Yes, our unconditional support keeps the momentum going.

If there were more positive role models, happier Iran Made events to boost morale than Iranians would be less gutted over a football match.

Our TM is carrying so much on their shoulders, mighty task. Shortcomings of the revolution generation is not their problem.

exactly. actually our players are already considered heroes because it is not easy to play at both world cup and asian cup with already so much on their shoulders.

Guys you know it's not the loss against Japan, well this can happen since it was based on silly individual mistakes... But what makes me really sad is that CQ left us, it's such an emptiness, because I know the current state of our country... Like Ali Daei said few days ago, TeamMelli was the only joy of our people and now this is also over and moreover the father of our team left😔... I just hope we will rebuild our country soon and take over these thieves.. This is my only hope how we can shine again in every aspect of life.. And I'm sure we all together will do it, we will build up again our country with everything possible needed.. I'm ready to build up my home with my own hands, stone for stone, step by step!!

Head up bro the best years for us are yet to come very soon 💪🏻✌🏻

Yes we can only hope for us to get better but Japan was not better than us by 3 goals
                              Not at all.

It could have been a 1-0 margin that was more fair.
Like CQ said before , Japan is 20 years ahead of a Iran in soccer, but the 3-0 score destroyed me.

Ignore the result, TM lost because of first goal and the mistake. As for the last two goals; one was a penalty (anyone can lose that, has nothing to do with a team and we already know our goalie is one of the best in penalties) as for 3rd goal; we were attacking, if we were in the filed to "lose by 1 goal" then I can assure you result would've been 1-0....

last goal really doesn't count and yes we are far closer than that. history shows, as for our current TM I think we would beat japan (current TM vs current Japan) anytime if it wasn't for pressure to go to finals and paranoia with referees. Question is not whether we are one of the top in Asia anymore, but rather can we stay up here for many years to come?

we got the potential, always had the talent
