In the last 100 games under CQ we experienced 13 losses only which is an incredible result and out of those 6 were official matches and 7 in friendly games.

1. When you look at these losses Iran always conceded the first goal and we weren't able to make a come back which shows that we have some sort of mental weakness when we're behind and unable to play our usual games afterwards. We have been able to tie the game like the game against Portugal and Syria but we couldn't win any of those games.

2. Our players need to stop complaining to the referee and creating unnecessary tensions and making wrong assumptions. I remember Taremi made a similar mistake against Spain where he thought he was on offside position and stopped running thinking that that the referee blew the whistle. Go for the ball and try to score and if it's not accepted so be it.

Overall in the last 100 games under CQ he has been able to implement so many more positive things that outweighs the 2 negative things that I could think of but that doesn't mean we shouldn't work on those. If you guys think of anything else please list them here since we have journalists here who could relay these information in the media and our players could hear it and work on it.

He won 60% of the games he coached, I don’t see no coach coming in that can do that with a country who has no youth academy, only one good pitch, no support for the team from the federation in the way of money for training camps, legit friendlies and no legit sponsors.
This is a nightmare which will only get worse. Only option is bs vatani coaches who will win 20% games and come up stupid reasons.
We’ve had it good for too long, back to been 4 or 5 best in Asia. Other teams like Qatar are going to pass us soon too.Maybe CQ sees that there is no hope with this regime and federation for the future of Iran football. Whoever takes over will obviously qualify for the next WC with all the seeds available for AFC but then again if it’s a vatani coach or some level c coach then stay tuned..

it will only improve if the regime is gone. we dont have proper training facilities for the young players. after 8 years of hammering down the importance of a training field CQ got what he wanted.. only 1 field. just look at the Aspire training facility. that is what we need and proper coaching from the ground up, and not go back to idiots like these croat shitty coaches who are taking our football in their hands with these mafia's.

What hurts me the most is that in the last 25 years we've qualified to semi finals 3 times and failed all 3 times and Qatar goes to Semi Finals for the first time and makes it to the final.

Instead of working on our infrastructure we keep laughing at Chinese and Qataris for investing so much and having a vision.

What is the vision and goal of our current football right now? To make it to Round of 16? Winning Asian Cup? I think we need to set the bar higher and start working on it.

China spends billions and still does not get anywhere. If Iran spent the same amount would be a regular at World Cups and possibly even reach Quarter Finals.

They haven't gone anywhere YET. The problem with Iranians in general is they have no patience and when they invest, they expect to double their investements the next day. They don't really think about 20-30 years ahead of them. And that's why they don't see any value in investing in our infrastructure.

China also earns a lot from football ! for example they get paid $16 million per year just to wear nike lol ! And we have to beg adidas just to let us wear it! Football has improved a lot in china , more and more chinese people are becoming football fan! don't be surprised if you see china in top 20 in ten years time.

The problem is the managment of IR. if we change our management we will improve. Right now our people are just looking to get the results !

Clubs must have 3-4 fields with good educated youth coaches. Results shouldn't matter at that level - training and learning should be the priority.
The same thing they did with volleyball, where you get to a level that every year 3-4 really good young players pop up and can easily transition to top level sports.

Buying a fancy player for a club or a high profile manager for the national team isn't going to do much.

Essentially our football is like a very talented footballer who eats nothing but junk food, parties at night with hookers and drugs, and then is surprised why they can't play well when it matters.

I agree. I think it's important to hire not only hire a good manager for the youth but also hire good management team from abroad to manage IFF or some of our top clubs. Those youth coaching jobs usually go to mediocare football players who have recently retired and not able to get a coaching job in the league.
