When Azmoun is through on goal and has time to think, he mostly messes up. This was one of the few times he even did quite well and was unlucky, normally he miscintrols, makes a poor decision, etc...

Was going to just post exactly the same thing, he shoots better on instinct. You could see that he has been working on his one on one as he took his time , was aware of the defender coming in and turned him but then maybe didn’t go with the right type of shot.

he did good to get it out of his feet that quick with gk rushing out and defense collapsing from either side. Was going in before the deflection.

Tbh the goalie did really poor on Azmouns goal. He tried to rush Azmoun and dove in with his feet.

Anyways it's great they are first in the league.

Ever since joining Zenit Azmoun has had 16 goals and 3 assists in 20 matches. If he keeps up this rate throughout the season and also has a solid CL performance, there’s no reason for a bigger club to not come knocking at the Winter window. He’d just have turned 25 too. He’s in a prime position for a big move in 4-5 months, hope he takes advantage

He has such a knack for knowing when a goal is about to happen, one of those strikers that seems to have a 6th sense about that. I think he is very aware of his difficulties on 1on1's, unlucky today not to turn that tide.

Well the goal he scored was a one on one that was actually challenging bc he had very little time to get it out of his feet and the one he hit the post was an extremely technical, clean, and smart move. Once he scores a couple Im sure he will have no hesitation.

Especially in his rostov days most of his goals were from 1 on 1s, then headers. He scored very few tap ins, unlike now where a lot of his goals are inside 6 yard box just being sharp.
