Many are forgetting he played 90 mins in another time zone and needs break! He is not robot!

He and Dzyuba will both start against Lyon. They have been playing the same formation domestically for a long time, even against bigger teams. Typically if they are trying to play it more conservatively you'll see one of the forwards drop a bit deeper into a sort of #10 position but they interchange a lot.

Really not sure what the point of that sort of negativity is before anything has even happened.

He seemed very high on energy today so I think he must have been fine.

Although he hasn't scored for Zenit in a while, his performances have still been pretty good. And in some of the matches, Zenit hasn't looked great and he barely had any chances.

Our boy is in his prime, and playing two 90 minute games in 4 days is very doable. His coach and trainers know his limits, as well as his stamina. We the fans know his ability to run for 90 minutes, and still have reserve to burst out for an amazing run or header. This is the new level of fitness that TM players should be striving for. This is the difference between playing in Europe vs. Iran.

He has the full support of his coach and teamates, despite some criticizes because lack of scoring (specially his partner Dzyuba). Apparently Sardar asked him to take the penalty to boost his confidence.
