They play some really attractive, fast paced attacking football, but also strong on counter attack, good blend of youth (very azmoun-like Shomorudov who is leading goal scoring race) and experienced quality players like eremenko and popov and solid Defense. They have defeated both CSKA and Lokomotiv away from home so far.
So I think zenit will treat this game as they should, a serious matchup with title implications, and thus sardar is needed, regardless of his current state of fatigue. And he will be needed of course vs leipzieg big time on the road.
He is at a physical condition now where he should (and I think is) able to handle this many matches. What is also needed is for him to have a high level of concentration, which he also usually does for big games (As we see in CL). What dissapointed vs bahrain was not his overall game, which was severely affected by lack of balls, playing with the useless karim as his strike partner, but his general bitchy attitude towards ref, teammates. He is clearly not a "leader" type personality, but as the star of the national team he is going to have to develop some leadership skills sooner or later.

starting as predicted. This has emerged as zenits strongest 11, performances magomed Ozdoev in recent months have been excellent and solves some of the midfield issues.
When Malcom recovers eventually from his bizarre injury he will replace shatov and that will be their strongest 11.
