not really. Any team he goes to from zenit (assuming it is a big move) will have increased competition. Only alcacer would be direct competition for azmoun, and while alcacer maybe a better box player, azmoun is far superior in all other aspects of the game. Sometimes Favre puts wingers or mids at CF but they arent effective there at all.

Also, I would say the fact that Favre puts attacking mids, wingers at CF, means he is looking for speed and better linkup play than alcacer, something sardar will be able to provide.

A team like Dortmund with a project like they have, if the interest is serious, should not be turned down because there are other good young players there.

German style of play, fast, high pressing, attacking football is MADE for sardar. Italy would be far too closed for him, and only realistic options there if we take away Juve, Inter, Napoli because they are stacked with CF's, are the likes of Lazio, maybe Roma, both with far inferior teams and places to grow than say Dortmund.

It would be a dream scenario, imo the best possible move, if he goes to bundesliga and specifically this strong, exciting team known for developing guys like sardar.

they would..!! no club spends obscene figure$ for transfers like Real...!! & from what i gather that is Sardar's dream and favorite club...!(as was mine before i got old and busy and lost all interest in EU club football all together..!)
no doubt the paper is somewhat associated with Zenit...!!
good signs.... its now blatantly obvious Zenit is putting Sardar in shop window...! make sense for them too with only 2 years remaining on his current contract to start auctioning him off and be able to net the highest possible figure for him..!

Russian big teams always highly guard/harass Azmoun. They know how strong he is because they all tried to buy him,

Since Zenit's strategy consists of quick combos between Dzyuba and Sardar, they don't really emphasize wing play. But imagine if Sardar goes to a club that does emphasize wing play and crossing, his potential would be much greater than it currently shows (which is scary).

sardar's positioning for getting on the end of it has been subpar too even in CKs and FKs ... he is no where near where the ball lands in the box... very uncharacteristic of him or Zenit only using him as decoy and mostly targeting Dzuba and their center halfs in the box on set pieces ??

But your right in general Sardar thrives on quick combination and service and zenit wingers ad mfdrs freaking angoolaking the ball too much before sending him a half ass service to latch on too and by then he is well marked and covered by 1 or more defenders ..!! its freaking annoying to witness game in game out..!!

the intense defensive attention afforded him, has opened much more golden opportunities for Dzuba and his other supporting frontline cast though and he has been rather too unselfish this season turning more of provider this season as opposed to last and his stats are a clear reflection of that..!

sardar has made some good runs tonight. One great layoff in particular for zhirkov that gave zenit there best chance of the half.
