sardar goes close from tight angle, similar to one he scored vs rostov, tried to smash under roof of net again, just blazed over.
Zenit have struggled tonight, especially bc CSKA have sat very deep for most of game, and zenit lack creativity. They actually play much better vs teams that are more expansive as it leaves gaps for them to exploit offensively.
Overall, 1-1 not a bad result vs CSKA. Puts zenit 3 pts clear at the top of the table.
Sardar will have much more space to operate in CL this week vs leipzieg. He was hardworking and really battled today, but as the case many times, zenits technical shortcomings mean he was given minimal service.

Sardar really put in a shift today, ran his ass off. Delivery was piss poor from Zenits wingers and midfielders but still Zenit made a couple good chances. CSKA sat deep all game and just absorbed pressure, made it tough to break down and wasted tons of time. I think Sardar could've been a bit more selfish in a couple instances, i felt he was always looking for the pass when maybe a couple times he should've had a go himself. Good game for him but frustrating for the team.

1-1
zenit salvage a point largely due to that controversial double booking early in 2nd half for CSKA player..!!
sardar hustled and bustled but he just wasnt sharp enough in and around the box today inorder to get on scorer sheet in this dog-fight of a match..!
sergey needs to add another (a more direct) attacking dimension to his team .....they've become way too predictable tactically and the current game tactics require way too much running and hustling from his rather thin squad that's still competing in 3 fronts this season..!
can't say im too hopeful of a Zenit win this midweek in Europe, although they'll have the home crowd behind them....! they are just gonna be too tired again to keep pace with ze germans..and likely succumb late again if they dont put the game to bed early in 1st half..!! tall order that..

i think that given their current squad resources, they are doing reasonably well first place in league (a more competitive one than last year), into QF in cup, and in with a solid chance of progression to next round of CL.

Besides that he made zenits best chance besides the goal, lay-off to zhirkov, and battled well against deep cska defense.
Don’t think he was bad by any means, but just was marginalized like most of zenits front guys

Zenit vs RB Leipzig, UCL Group stages
this one should be a great one to watch, absolutely gonna keep an eye on it. Zenit will be playing at home and thirsty for revenge. Fingers crossed Sardar can keep up his hot form in the UCL.
