Depends what happens to UCL...If they finish rest of current year, its set to finish in August. Napoli still got 1 game in Barca, but next year, they might not have CL...they are 7th in the league and probably wont make top 4
So ya unless he joins now, he can play that 1 game against Barca, but if not, no CL til 2022 for Napoli

They are 6th place so in Europa League spot.
They have finished in the top 4 (more often in top 3) for the almost all of the last 7-8 seasons so one off season (caused mainly by off field issues, coaching change, which has now stabilized by gatusso big time) can be accepted.
The quality of the squad is very high, much higher than anything sardar has played with up until now in his career.
IF an official offer arrives from them, as it seems with milik leaving there would actually be a spot for him too, I would comfortably guess that he will not receive a better offer, in terms of club+league+chance of playing many minutes.
There is still the chance they opt for even higher profile targets instead of sardar. Napoli is the only serie A club to record a net profit in the calendar year of 2019.

The lazio rumors were real, the court case between rostov and rubin put them off from continuing their pursuit

Napoli's owner is an asshole though...thats why Ancelotti left and this year a lot of the good players want to leave. They have a very old shit stadium that they haven't even renovated since the Maradona days. Despite making lots of good money and selling players like Cavani, Higuain, Lavezzi in the past.
It would be a great move temporarily for Sardar but dont count on them going further than they have in the recent times.

It's not dragging on, Azmoun said he will decide about it when football resumes.

Italian source claims Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring Azmoun:
"Azmoun inquired by the Bayer Leverkusen: Bundesliga league welcomes the interest of Napoli.
The Bayer Leverkusen has conducted a survey with the entourage of Sardar Azmoun , striker Zenit St. Petersburg also followed by Napoli . After contacts with West Ham and Everton and juxtapositions to Arsenal and Leicester City , it is now the turn of the Bundesliga clubs : in Germany they are starting to gather information on the Iranian center forward in view of the next season, when the ex Rubin Kazan could leave the Russian to make the "big jump" in one of the major European leagues. Cristiano GiuntoliFor its part, it always remains at the window: Azmoun is one of the most appreciated profiles in the technical area of Napoli, however called to reflect on the non-EU issue.
Considering also the interests for Ederson Soares del Gremio and beyond, the Neapolitan company will have to think carefully about how to move before sinking the blow for a goal. In the background Victor Osimhen, who likes it but is also a foreigner (Nigerian) and appears more oriented towards a future in Premier. In England, however, Azmoun may not end up there: the player, however attracted to the overseas sirens, knows that his fellow countrymen before him (see Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Andranik Teymourian, Karim Bagheri and Ashkan Dejagah) have had very little luck in British football, almost always ending up relegated to the bench. In the Bundesliga, on the contrary, it would have space and a way to impose itself. It is still early to say what will happen, but Germany is not a destination to be discarded."

They have sold good players but always replaced them very well (hence azmoun maybe going there). Mertens, zielinski, insigne have all so Ned new contracts and Fabián ruiz expected time commit soon as well. These are top class players. If they sell others they will be replaced as always.
And btw, this is their first season out of top 4 ( they have almost always been top 3) in the past 7-8 seasons. If they went further in recent times they would be serie A champs, which nobody has managed except juve for a very very long time. Doesn’t mean everybody else is irrelevant or not good enough for azmoun.
If they are good enough for all the players we have mentioned they are surely good enough for azmoun, and provide him with the opportunity of real game time.
Clearly there were issues with ancelotti that have now been solved, evidenced by their good form and CL performances. Remember this is the team that was the first to beat Liverpool (deservedly) this year and follow it up with a great draw in anfield.
Leverkusen are a similar level team to napoli Less experienced for sure. They have great talents like tapsoba ,haavertz ,diaby, demirbay, etc. they are less competitive than Napoli overall however , even selling guys like brandt to similar level teams like Dortmund.
Peter bosz the manager also chased azmoun when coach of Ajax, azmoun manhandled them in russia scoring and knocking them out of CL.leverkusen tried buying him from rostov (pre bosZ) and apparently again from rubin before the World Cup.
Both would be great options. I think if he succeeded in napoli the visibility and spotlight is greater than leverkusen (much bigger club historically, fan base, etc), but bundesliga would be easier adaptation for him, although I think he would also suit serie A. More pressure also associated with napoli than leverkusen.
I think they will sell Alario and maybe haavertz if they were to end moving for him, meaning there could be spot there, although volland is also a solid Cf (not better than azmoun imo).

Would be great IF true with leverkusen! think he would do great in all top leagues specialy germany and italy. As long as he avoids clubs fighting near relegation he Will do great. He would kill serie a butwould rather se him in Inter then lazio. still hope for a shock move to Man U in pleague though instead of ighalo.....

Nothing will come out until the season has finished and there is so much uncertainty about finances that nearly every club is unsure about Summer transfer plans. Even Liverpool who are financially stable are now wondering whether to not go for a Timo Werner this transfer window and leave it for a future one.
There has obviously been interest in Sardar from Napoli , hasn’t this been confirmed by staff affiliated to them.
