not to mention the other matches in league were vs various opponents, including Krasnodar and Rostov who had champions league places to fight for, in addition to a couple lower table teams that were battling relegation. And he scored the winning goals in all those matches too. Krasnodar was title clinching match btw.

i hope so..!! been in Russia for far too long and the thrill has ran its course and there is really not much more to gain from staying in this league much longer and he has proven he belongs to a higher level of football..!!

Zenit look good on the attacking front now with the addition of malcom but they got way too many holes in MF quality areas to be a force in CL and manage an exit outa group stages ..! and they must add a quality CB without loosing their current CB starters...!!
barring getting super lucky with an easy CL groups draw, doubtful they have enough overall quality as a team to muster a deeper than group stages run again next year..!!

i sure hope some team in a higher league steps up and pony up the 30mil required to convince Zenit into selling .... !! they are too rich and Sardar is a key performer for them which would be hard to find a sensible replacement for him at Zenit for too much cheaper and he still has 2 more years left on his contract .... so they simply wont sell if they dont get their demanded fee..!

He played ok. Not bad, not great. Became more uninvolved as the game went on. And he missed a very easy chance, wasn’t the first time this season. Excuses were that he was not focusing or concentrating. May I ask where his focus and concentration were during a cup semi-final against Spartak? The bottom line for a striker is how efficiently they can score from scoring opportunities. Its not stats, its often the difference between winning and losing. There is alot of talk here about wanting our players in top 4 league, top 4 team, blah blah, but the standards there are not as shol as here.
