There is no hope that Zenit will play in the return match as he usually puts pressure on everyone, because yesterday the team was in very poor physical condition, barely dragged his feet, in the second half even the commentator noted when he counterattacked Villarreal, the players of Zenit attack, including Azmun, on foot returned to help the defenders to defend their gates.

not sure of their injury updates but they desperately need Noboa and Marchisio back in the midfield. Unfortunately game is next week so im not sure they'll be back.
Best to hope for is for Zenit to win the league as they are and make CL next year. That way we at least see Sardar in 6 guaranteed games.

3 EL games, 3 goals & 1 assist. Amazin stats for our boy so far, against 2 respectable european teams. If he bangs another 6 or 7 goals in the league, and hopefully scores in the return leg against Villareal, there is definately going to be a lot of interest in summer. Dont think Zenit will let him go for under 20 milion € though. This guy is amazing and our best forward ever.

He needs to convert these kinds of opportunities if he wants to grow into a better and more ruthless goalscorer.

So these are the cities in which the final stage of the championship was held, but, for example, Krasnodar, where the World Championship did not take place, I gave a link to the stadium, the football Academy, training fields, etc. Here I give again. There are hundreds of similar fields and closed arenas in Krasnodar Krai alone.

First of all welcome to Pfdc
I have watched Azmoun games in Rostov (60 years old stadium) and if I remember correctly Russia federation banned Rostov to play champions league game at home until they improve their field, because Bayern and united complained about the situation.
let’s be fair Russian top clubs have excellent facilities but their is a huge gap between other teams.
What I’m trying to say on this forum is you can’t compare Netherlands with Russia, the Netherlands is one of the richest & fairest countries in the world. Russia Iran Turkey these countries are corrupt and only care for big clubs with huge population
Just look at the talents that are produced in the Eredivisie and what I mean with facilities I mean everything from stadium - training grounds - medical - Gym facilities - scouts and go on

I do not think that the fields in Germany and the UK are better than this.

For many people, Russia is still Soviet Union so they stick to old stereortypes. The infrastructure in big cities like Moscow and Spb is better than New York and Londons of this world.
Fact is, because of the WC, lots of Russia's footballing infrastructure were re-built or built from the scratch. Many cities benefited from this and footballing buzz came to the country to the point that some of Nizhny Novgorod's matches in lower division now (gorgeous stadium if you happened to go to Nizhny in summer) gather crowds of over 25k+ fans.
Rostov the same...
I was actually very surprsised Krasnodar weren't among the host cities, because it's one of the newest Russian cities, their team is one of the best run clubs in Russia with the best youth academy. I guess it's because they had Sochi, Volvograd and Rostov with games and Krasnodar is in the same vicinity. Still think Krasnodar would have been cooler than Saransk to hold matches.
But of course a fundemental change to football mentality can't happen over night. We just saw first hand that it took Qatar over 10 years of consistent investment and consistency to bear fruits...I'll be interested to see where Russian football stands in 2028-2030ish. The biggest mistake Russia made though, was putting faith of their footballing development (coach wise) in a dinasour like Fabio Capello. That wasted so many years, and then you had SLutsky who sucked.
Jury remains on Cherchesov...I'm curious how they play in Euro Cup qualifeirs without the world cup buzz and adernline behind them. But Russian coaches have been very disappointing in European stage lately, that can't be denied. No matter how much $$ you slap on infrastructure and facility, you need a person with a true vision to get the kids playing the right way and drill the right mentality in them.
