Originally posted by St_Mark View PostIFF is asking Wilmots to comply with his terms of contract .

It is not that complicated. Take a look at the potential second place teams in Japan's group, Australia's group, and South Korea's group and explain how they can get 17 or more points.

I just watched a VERY interesting video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3YgyJJz3Wo
Apparently Taj wanted CQ to stay, but the sports ministry pressured Taj not to renew CQ's contract. Taj defied the sports ministry and extended CQ's contract with 6 months. CQ said he didn't know about it when he signed the extension, and wouldn't have done it if he knew that the sports minister wanted him out. Maybe that was his reason for resignation. What happened between CQ and the sports ministry? Why did they hate him so much?

Iran 12

Nonetheless, we must win our games, although I'm not too optimistic, which is why I'm hoping for an Iraq-HK draw.

There are 64 games remain, 8 in each group. The only sure scenario for Iran to advance is 18 points (12 from next 4 games) and every other scenario is just a possibility.
In realm of possibilities one can not be sure of any outcome
I did not expect Saudi to tie with Palestine and Yemen , nor I considered Qatar at home tie with IndiaLast edited by St_Mark; 11-20-2019, 12:03 AM.

Anyone watch Rahman Rezaei grilling Alavi on the air?
“Nobody understands what Wilmots contract says. Nobody knows what type of contract it is. Our national team’s head coach is staying in Turkey and waiting to get paid. What kind of contract is this?
“We’ve had many difficult situations but our coaches and players didn’t focus on money but rather the importance of the match ahead. We gotta prepare and complete this camp. How is it that after 8 years of experience and lessons learned with Queiroz situations, we don’t learn from our mistake and offer a contract like this?”
“Then you make an excuse that our players didn’t arrive. When the football federation emails clubs, the player HAS to come. The player doesn’t say I’m gonna wait here a few days then I’ll come when I feel like it (not sure which legionnaire he was referring to here). Nothing like this exists, Mr. Alavi.. When I was in Italy and Dadkan sent me an email, we had to abide by the rules and come.”
Lol Rezaei was never our best CB. He scored that own goal, helped Mexico score in the World Cup. I mean he was decent. He was inconsistent.
But damn, he nailed Alavi against the wall with a hammer with his critical questioning and analysis on our current situation.

Soltanifar:
"We have lost two of our last two games which have undermined our national pride. These two results were really bad......"
..."We paid him and we even paid him the salary for the next three months," he said
You can not make him to comply with terms of his contract and stay in Iran but you pay him for next 3 months?!
What prevent him to repeat his dishonest conduct?
