He did. If I'm not mistaken Santos played Persepolis and Pas.Originally posted by perspolis#1 View PostIn my living memory it was Perspolis vs Bayern.
Maybe older members can attest to some of the friendlies in the 1970s. Didnt Pele come to Iran?
Also Bayern Munich came to Iran in the 70s and played either Persepolis or TM. They lost 3-0 and the rumor was the German players were hungover from drinking the night before.I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

We beat them 4-1.Originally posted by sam20 View PostIran once played inter Milan in the late 90's. Inter was up by a few goals and we came back to tie the game or maybe even win? 4-4/5-4? Persepolis played Ac Milan in 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycNIPqva414
As Iran’s relations with the Western world seem to be thawing following a historic U.S. agreement over its nuclear production, sport is also doing its part to bring Tehran in from the cold.
Iran has played lots of club teams in unofficial games. These are some of them:Originally posted by sam20 View PostIran once played inter Milan in the late 90's. Club friendlies are the most pointless matches in all of football. Even worse are those stupid tours/tournaments that Euro clubs participate in North America, East Asia and the Middle East every Summer/Winter.Originally posted by Keano View PostI remember the game against Bayern Munich. In all honesty it was such a phony and unexciting match. You could tell BM was there for a cause if I am not mistaken and could tell they were trying to be nice and considerate.

Feel you. I for one have never bothered going to stadiums here to watch Barcelona/Real Madrid playing those fake games with US clubs. They do that at lease once a year and they just never interest me to go and watch. Unless one wants to go see the super stars up close. Otherwise it's just silly and it's done only for $$$

I remember the game very differently. PP outplayed BM most of the game but unfortunately, the finishing was not good enough.Originally posted by Keano View PostI remember the game against Bayern Munich. Hence my point. What is the point of such friendlies if both teams don’t take the match seriously? Do you honestly believe that a Bayern Munich of then’s caliber would have let a team from. IPL trance them like that?Originally posted by mangekyou View PostI remember the game very differently. PP outplayed BM most of the game but unfortunately, the finishing was not good enough.
