very solid 65 mins by majid. His distribution under pressure was really good and he cut off passing lanes well.

He can be an option for us there in matches vs superior opposition where we want to load midfield to cover for our defense. Majids only deficiency in this position is speed, he is a big guy and it is hard for him to cover ground quickly.

But if he has more mobile guys around him, he can be an asset there to cover cbs and provide a more stable defensive base.

Nourollahi and ebrahimi would provide additional defensive cover but they have the engine to get around the pitch more. The front three would provide the pace and necessary technique and skill to damage most teams on the break.

For games where we can go toe to toe with opposition, majid can be dropped back to cb and utilize his strong distribution skills from there. An additional attacker can enter the lineup to unlock defenses.

In this way, Majid would essentially be replacing Saeid's role at WC2018. This is crucial to have a physical, capable in possession presence who is strong defensively shielding our defenders in big games. With Saeid not longer an option, and looking like he may not be an option for a long time if ever, Majid needs to be used at cdm in certain matches.

Hosseini was actually quite calm and effective as a DM.

He’s typically slightly behind both mikel and sosa.

I watched a replay of his game against Gala.

He made a lot of clean crosses, long balls, and passes forward.

He barely missed a pass.

He also did very well to intercept passes.

I don't know why this club is so keen to get our center backs and convert them to DMs but if Majid does well then who knows maybe he could also have this role for TM. His vision is certainly very good.
