Looks like he is playing rwb/rb now and actually had a very solid performance judging from highlghts. Definitely has the physical traits to play this position.

Estili was trying him there for Omid which in hindsight doesnt seem like a bad idea. The team is stacked with offensive potential. Ghaedi, Allahyar, Mohebbi, Delfi, Shekari, Azadi,Jabireh. There is no proper Right back. Would actually be a help to Omid if Mehdikhani takes that role.

Always benched, not getting subbed on much. If his team relegates, that might actually be good for him. Doubt he'd stay though.

I thought he was a winger. In winger we have only JB, Gholizadeh and let say Delfi (who doesn't play either in belgium). The rest can play as a winger but it is not their main position.
I will favor him over Amiri and Torabi

He can play multiple positions....saman is a winger too you have to consider since he can play there as well (and is effective too). Same with Mehrad Mo.

^^^yes and the same with Taremi. He's often played in the left during CQ's time too. Most of our forwards can play anywhere in the front and right now their number in Europe is too many for Mehdikhani to have a chance.

Unless of course our "Croatian" coach favors him over some of the others.

mehdikhani is actually playing well. Since his introduction Varazdin have been playing with a lot more energy, making some good attacks from his Right side. He is playing as a RWB it seems, his speed and strength and ability to run in behind is very useful.

he had a couple nice switches of play, and a really dangerous cross.
