    But he should retire nevertheless.

BUT ... IFFFFF ... Shojaei is the BEST we can find for our midfield in 2019-2020 ... we are in TROUBLE , regardless of WHO the manager is
That was a red card. No referee is going to ignore that foul and not hand a second yellow for a cleats up tackle. He made the refs job easy.

He was a failure in Belgium.

He was a failure in Ivory Coast.

He was a failure when he tried politics in Belgium.

What on gods earth makes anyone think he is going to be successful with us after these performances?

Freaking coach that only comes to Iran 4 days before the game deserves to be sacked. This SOB does not care for or respect Iran and Iranians. Get his ass out of there. I much rather have Daei or any Iranian with some Gheirat instead of this dayoos.

As much as I hate Brangoh, I think even he would have been better than Wilmots. At least Brangoh has an idea about Iranian football and led Persepolis to victory. Wilmots just leads every team that hes with straight to the gutter.

Funny thing is despite that red card CQ team had the power to actually score after the red card and win. Not like Wilmots the pathetic clown. The coaches character is a big indicator of the teams mentality. Something Wilmots does not have.

I said it in another post but got rained on by some members. Massoud should had the decency to say goodbye to the team long time ago to first avoid such an embarrassing exit and second to make room for a new blood.
Good bye Massoud. Today you were horrible and contributed to the team big grief.

Haven’t seen the incident since live game on shit quality stream this morning but the first yellow but completely bs foul & similarly to his second foul the player intentionally threw himself into his attempt at ball clearance ..!
Although such incidental contacts are often called, rarely they are carded ,.! That asshole hapless ref shoulda refrained from especially booking him the 2nd time ..!& to think he was elbowed multiple times & literally head butted in front the fking ref & ref refused to even blow his whistle ..!

Has Masoud Shojai overstayed his welcome?

For a “charismatic” and “inspirational” leader like Shojaei, he shows true weak mentality by turning off the Insta comment section in his post where he apologized for his horrible performance. The man knew he’d be destroyed.

I wished he would come up and say sorry and then I retire but no, roo Ke nist.
This is even worst than Daei s situation back to the time, at least he was a legend, Shojaei was always weak in TM even in his prime.

I understand why coaches have invited Shojaei - he is a leader in the camp and the players respect him.

What i never understood is how he got to TM in the first place - Branko invited him in 2006 and he leapfrogged players the same age as him who had been playing much better in IPL (let's not forget the 23 year-old IPL player of the year who didn't even get picked for the squad)

Branko promised the most talented player we would ever see, but even at the age of 22 he seemed really slow on the ball.

To be honest I like the guy a lot personality-wise, and we need people like him around our football set-up. But i can count on one hand the games he has played even OK for TM (usually the ones where he has the time to use his playmaking). Having said that he had some good games for Osasuna.

But still, I think there must have been some weird stuff behind the scenes for his fast promotion over other youngsters who had been playing better than him.
