"Worries at Antwerp, uncertainty about 'new' goalkeeper Beiranvand '
Antwerp FC said goodbye to Sinan Bolat on Thursday and will soon do so with Jens Teunckens and Yves De Winter. As a result, The Great Old is without goalkeepers. Ali Beiranvand must become the new first goalkeeper, although Antwerp encounters a problem.
The arrival of the goalkeeper has already been concluded in various media as a completed deal, but according to Het Laatste Nieuws there is still no agreement with Beiranvand. Among other things, the corona virus is said to have thrown a spanner in the works.
Talks with Beiranvand were temporarily halted due to the crisis. In addition, Antwerp is not yet able to medically test the goalkeeper, so there is no question of a deal yet. Antwerp still has the intention to get it, even if the question is whether an agreement can be found quickly.
Currently, Antwerp has only one goalkeeper under contract with Davor Matijas for the coming season."
