Well well well, best compliment you can give is that this game is 3-0 without beira. The slide tackle on lo celso he read and executed brilliantly, and the 1v1 at end he stayed up and read like a boss too. I dont think butez makes either of those saves. The diving save he had was also very good.
Distribution after a shaky first 3 passes/kicks was EXCELLENT.seriously, the guy played out of spurs press countless times and his throws were also very accurate apart from a couple. His throwing is a cheat code to throw out of pressure bc he retains accuracy but gives you length of a long ball (Those lofted ones to the wings especially).
Obviously he was a bit nervy since this was his first game for 4-5 months? His exits on a couple crosses were wrong, but one of them he did get totally fouled that was not called. If he just gets a few successful ones under his belt I am sure he will be fine on those too.
On the whole, he showed why he is our best GK again. Not many can come after that long of a layoff and produce like that. Esp with stress of trying to win a starting spot.
Also big LOL at whoever said PP is on level of antwerp. They play some very solid stuff.

Apart from some understadable nervousness in the beginning and 3 misstimed (but inconsequential and not really dangerous mistimed jumps on crosses, Beiranvand has done well.
He's made several very good saves, most by perfectly timed exits to come out of the goal.
He's also been very involved as a field player playing with his feet.
His goal kicks and throws have been ok. Not great, but definitely not bad. I'd say about average (but somewhat below par for what he's capable of).
All in all, a good start in what is a new record setting performance for an Iranian player in a European club: his first start right away thrown into a UEFA Leage game against a PL club.
Well done Beiranvand!

Good performance so far.
Early in the game his distribution on his feet was somewhat poor and seemed nervous, but as the game went on he got much better.
Three really good aggressive saves.
Had one shaky set piece, where he got lucky that his defence bailed him out, but other wise good.
Basically, a good performance so far, especially considering that it's his first club match in a very long time.
7/10 so far imo, and probably MOTM for Antwerp so far
Good to see him do this well, knowing it's not even close to being as good as his max potential.Last edited by The; 12-10-2020, 02:54 PM.
