Here again from a French source, it mentions the Bayat connections and Nantes for the reality of this transfer for Rezaei.

BENFICA HAS TAREMI AS A TARGET FOR ATTACK
The return of the League has cooled the preparation for the next season, since winning the title is the main objective of the red structure. Benfica, however, continues to have targets for 2020/2021 and one of them remains Mehdi Taremi.
The 27-year-old Iranian striker from Rio Ave pleases coach Bruno Lage and was asked by the coach in the January market after Raul de Tomas left. Rio Ave did not sell the team's top scorer - they have eleven goals - and the Eagles turned to Dyego Sousa's loan.
Taremi was saved for the summer, but Benfica's interest in Iran did not disappear. The attack must be one of the sectors that will have changes in the closed season. SAD had a plan to sell Carlos Vinícius before the Covid-19 pandemic, and Seferovic has a market. The 28-year-old Swiss striker, last season's top scorer, has had a bad season, with just six goals scored, and has not been a starter in the league since the January 10 game with Aves.

FC Nantes officials are said to be preparing an offer for Kaveh Rezaei.
Also mentioned, Nantes chairmans (Waldemar Kita) interest of bringing Rezaei to the club, along with Mogi Bayat's connections to the club. Estimated at around 5M € transfer fee which can be the best case for Brugge to recover a huge sum of its money on Rezaei.

Dadash, why do you think he won’t start at Nantes? Most of their exports come from the Belgian League who are starting week in and week out for the side. Having spent 3 seasons in Belgium, Rezaei is long overdue a move to a top 5 league imo.

Interesting benavente is there he and Kaveh were amazing together in his first season at Charleroi. Also Limbombe is a beast I remember him from his NEC days when he played with Jahanbaksh. Simon is a quality winger too they have the perfect attacking core for a striker like Kaveh to come in and thrive. This would honestly be an ideal scenario for himTeam Meli Iran
