Iranian Shahriar Moghanlou, 25, is closer to being confirmed as a reinforcement for Santa Clara. The Iranian press revealed that the striker was at the Portuguese embassy in Iran to deal with the necessary permits to travel to Lisbon.

This could be a sign that the player, who has scored 13 goals in 14 games with Paykan, may be close to the Azoreans. As Record advanced, Santa Clara presented a proposal of 170 thousand euros to buy Moghanlou, the second top scorer in the Iranian league.

Just curious if you have a job and if are willing to work for a better company at half the salary??? We don't know the details of his personal life and why he makes certain decisions.... Our guesses of why our players make certain decisions are most probably wrong anyway. Please refrain from judging or calling them losers.

Considering his abilities (average by Iranian standards), making a ton of money in Qatar for a year or two is much more preferable than getting pocket change playing in bottom dwelling disfuntional Portuguese teams.

Plus let's not forget that Taremi was playing in Qatar around the same age, ended up getting decent transfer to Rio Aves after.

Either way, doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things for TM. We have plenty of options ahead of him for TM.
