actually best thing for him is to go out of iran and experience a different culture and less crappy hashieh environment. In Portugal they will not care if hes basiji or MEK as long as he plays good football, is professional, and improves his game and that is what matters. Its better for his growth as a person as much it is for his growth as a player. Its not like he will go there and celebrate with ya zahra or rahbar undershirt/give his political opinions after matches, etc. He will quickly realize to keep that to himself.

but those are some of the things that will continue to happen and are perpetuated in iran because of current shitty culture. From a footballing point of view, the hashieh and distraction this creates is detrimental to a players performance (as we can see with torabi).

Alipour was supposed to go to Europe like 14 times already - I’ll believe it when I see it. I can’t think of any player who was linked to Europe more than him of all recent PGPL talents.
      Team Meli Iran
      Perspolis FC
      Malavan Bandar Anzali

But as I mentioned its not bad having a player who is more of a specialist. Alipour is a similar mould to a werner type player, obviously an extremely crappy budget version that I kind of laugh when putting with werner in the same sentence. But still, he is not a traditional CF. But is rapid, direct, and as you mentioned strong with both feet. Like werner he makes good runs into space behind defense from slightly wider areas and seriously stretches the backline of the opposition. Those are his key characteristics. Stick a strong, fast CB / smart defense line that plays offside trap well and the lack of variability to his game means he will not offer much. But in a counterattacking system for team of maritimo profile where his job is very clear and there is space behind opposition backline he can be dangerous.
        no

Lets not make stupid comparisons. Werner, really? Werner is a dynamic, eccentric centre-forward who is capable of playing as a lone striker or as part of a duo with Poulsen. Usually taking up the role of a complete forward. Werner's main attributes are based around movement, space creation, positioning, and tactical flexibility and is important to Leipzig’s attacking success. Majority of these qualities mentioned Alipour does not have. (And in the other thread you were comparing Adama Traoré to Allahyar, again no similarities to each other what so ever if you seen their matches.)

Lets not make stupid comparisons. He is quite technical left sided player as you can see from the clips but is not physical or extremely fast - the characteristics of the player you mentioned. I like that he is good on the ball and in tight spaces which is something to work with, and obviously as a former winger his skillset is different to a typical defensive player like milad. If he develops defensive side to his game considering we have no other LBs besides milad he could be a good option esp considering his age.
When I made this comparison, I was not referring to play style at all! I was referring to how both started as LW before they transitioned to defense! Davies started as a winger, then moved to LB position due injuries of players who played in that position and Hans-Dieter Flick deployed Alaba as left back: https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundes...rn-munich-8546

notice how I said the comparison was funny right after because alipour is not 1/100000th of the player werner is. You read that right??? No need to be smartass and play "gotcha"

There are plenty of LBs who used to be LWs. Davies is pace/power is his defining characteristic, which is why your comparison didnt make sense, as salmani is quick but not explosive, not physically impressive either.

Alipour is a sprinter. In that way he is similar to werner type forward whose specialty is not hold up play but stretching the defense (although he showed this year good playmaking abilities).

Also if I compared allahyar to adama I stand by it 100%. If you re-read that post I mention the obvious difference in play style and position but one striking similarity which I was referring to.

the reason was because they both possess impressive physical characteristics (obviously adama at this stage is much more impressive) but have a similar failure to realize when to use it, what spaces to run into, when to hold ball, which decisions to make, etc. Adama has had this carefully addressed in his game by Espirito Santo. Allahyar has not had one proper coach in his entire footballing career until age 18 with schaeffer (he used to play in local park for Amol for years leading up to WC although he was officially on saipa). Allahyar needs a coach to develop his footballing IQ and thus unlock the potential he has with physique and natural instinct. If you can find a better comparison for allahyar situation of great physique + terrible football IQ that was corrected by a coach Id like to hear it. Adama is the most obvious one today.

Hum... wasnt aware of all that but it would make sense ....but i remember him shitt talking against CQ along with other goozoo pp mostly domestic fan base and just got real bad initial vibes from him..! i highly doubt he woulda ever seriously attempted an EU career launch if it werent for the currently completely collapsed economic conditions of iran and the toman value utter destruction..!

even so still not convinced he'd even complete this move to Portugal..?

First off, how can I compare the two's playing style if I never watched Salmani's matches? HOW??? I literally mentioned that in my post and yet you choose to accuse me of comparing both of their play styles even though I said I did NOT watch Salmani's matches openly said "Iranian Alphonso Davies" based on their positions.

My guy, how was I being a smartass? Many people trying do "gotcha"??? What?! You always show aggression to people who's footballing views may not align with yours like when people prefer Rezaeian to Moharrami, show appreciation of Karim versatility, rate Abedzadeh's gk abilities, rate Hajsafi etc... However, know people can disagree with you on footballing matters too if they don't agree with comparisons your making.

And at the end of the day its just football, a game played with a sphere. So Agha, if I hurt your feelings I'm sorry.

yes hes a good CB. Probably the best young CB in iran right no with Salimi. (At this point Id just say the two best CB's in iran atm, plus Khalilzadeh).

But he confirmed he will stay for one more year and become a legionairre next year....(supposedly)

I rate abedzadeh, like hajsafi, and think karim is versatile but ok. No hard feelings but when you keep threatening about digging up posts from god knows when and not providing context to pad your argument its a bit strange.

Untrue. He said yesterday that he didn't cancel his contract with Esteghlal, those were rumours fueled by Iranian newspapers.

In fact, Aref Gholami has just extended his contract with Esteghlal for another 2 years, confirmed by Navad.

Younes Delfi will go to HNK Gorica on loan in the Croatian League. For me it's a much better move than Sepahan. He'll get playing time and it's a loan so if he does well, Charleroi could play him the following year.
