Sardar off, Dzyuba in, 66th minute. Zenit clearly have their upcoming CL match in mind.
Sardar put in a solid shift. He didn't get much service, but linked up well, ran hard, and worked for the team. He also basically created Zenit's first goal.
thanks
not for another couple of hours of so it seems
is there still a way to watch Replays of Zenit game today on Youtube channel of RPL..? Or you gotta pay for Replay too as well as Live?
I dont have a replay but here are the extended highlights.
Sardar looked sharp as lone CF and has some smart linkup play. Overall zenit looked a lot better and will enter match on tuesday vs Club Brugge having rested Dzyuba, Ozdoev, Barrios,Malcom, and Sardar. Now driussi is back from 2 months injury, Russian NT Attacking mid Kuzyaev also returned after months of being rumored to be leaving for europe, and started with his good end of season form.
Plus Wendel who had his debut today will be a big part of their midfield going forward and hopefully add a lot more technicality. They also added a reserve CB from rostov who is a solid athletic defender and statistically one of the best in RPL for last season. He is not registered for CL in time but can rotate with lovren, rakitskiy to ensure their freshness for CL.
Hopefully Sardar puts brugge to the sword like he did vs anderlecht, psv, ajax in previous CLs.
^ that was a nice control and settle of the ball in the crowded box and a nice quick shot on goal, forcing the keeper to give up the rebound for 1st goal..!!
his outside shot /goal vs Uzbekistan and today's shot/assist? are encouraging new signs of him adding an important dimension to his plethora of attacking skills and sure to make him far more valuable and marketable Striker, once he belts out a few more LD shot/goals to his resume..!! He certainly got the technique and the heavy foot for it.... he just have to become bit more Selfish and unleash more frequent shots on goal rather than his more frequent resort to get get his teammates involved with his brilliant link-up passing in and around the box..!!
i've noticed this new wingers and Malcom going the selfish rout rather than squaring a simple pass to him when often open in the box , well.... so should he .. from time to time this season and pave himself the way for a high profile transfer this winter or next summer at the latest..!
Noticed Alireza doing so towards the end of his last season at AZ and he got himself a Golden Boot and a record $igning to a shithole club but in the arguably best league in the world..!!

I think its more than "selfish" element. He just never seemed confident taking long shots previously. But since last season its something its clear they are working on it with him. With both feet too. He has been unlucky not to score quite a few times with it in matches and it adds a different dimension to his game. I like how even when he doesn't it doesnt fly off his foot he still gets it on target and works GK.
