thats because most of their young talent is brazilian. But still, taking players who were not A listers to get big contracts out of brazil or just very very young and developing them on a consistent level is really impressive. They are jsut a quality team also, one look at their europa league campaign right now (many peoples picks to win) or their CL performances will tell you that.
But mkhitaryan is the main example of a non brazilian who they exported excellently to dortmund. Tymoschuk went to zenit for a couple seasons then to bayern but is still a shakhtar product. Arsenal bid something like 20 mil EU for their LB/CB matviyenko in january, Roma after kovalenko. Ruslan Molonovskiy of atalanta is another shakhtar youth product. Currently they have israeli winger Salomon who is very talented and also developing and showing himself in CL.
But anyways as I say, it does not seem like a real possibility for allahyar to go there. Wish some iranian players would go there in the future bc it is a very well run club with a history of developing great young players, brazilian or otherwise.
