Lol, like Navid said, when literally nothing is managed well in this country, it would be idiotic to think this will be managed (not even well).

If you can't even manage simple things as shirt logistics etc. How on earth could you defend such a case in court?

There was no "deciding". There was a unified effort by the Sports Ministry, loser pundits, and certain sections of domestic fans(I speak as a fan of Persepolis as well) to get rid of CQ. Anyone who rewatches domestic media regarding Team Melli in the last 2 years prior to CQs departure can see the smear campaigns.

Of course there were many miscalculations on their part. Branko left to Saudi, Wilmots was a worse coach than could possibly be imagined, and our qualification is now at risk.

There are few to to zero clubs in Iran that are privately owned, TV rights are controlled by state media, and player sales are influenced by sarbazi rules. There's little to suggest PGL is running independently.

I think its more of an insult to Iranians to assume this was an honest mistake and not gross incompetence by IR. I'm sure if politics was not an issue there would be a more competent group of Iranians to run our football domestic or diaspora.
Are you using the same sources that claim that Iran is on the verge of becoming a military dictatorship ever since 2010, over a decade ago? Speaking of which, how is that working out?

And no my friend, the Sports Ministry, loser pundits, and certain sections of domestic fans had nothing to do with the contract of Queiroz not being extended after the Asian Cup of 2019. The Iranian football federation had decided that after 8 years, it was time to hire another coach who would bring us more attacking football, the Asian cup and a second round in the World Cup, obviously they failed at that, but it was their decision an no one else's.

If you are going to turn a blind eye to corruption in Irans football we dont have a discussion to have. It is not a reflection of Iran for the 1000th time, its a reflection of the people in charge

It's just sickening how the country is ruled in general and not just football. We have lost every single case in CAS for as long as I can remember. Seriously before writing this comment, I tried hard to remember if we have ever won any football-related dispute in international courts such as CAS etc. What does it tell you?The country and in particular our football has always been run by a bunch of imbeciles who are nothing short of complete ignorance and incompetence.

The easiest and fastest big money Wilmots has ever made in his life!

Seems to me that the Belgian FF(ran by Iranians) finessed the Iranian FF.

                    We’ve lost 72 of 75 cases apparently.
Sometimes I can’t tell if this is incompetence on purpose and a whole bunch of people just got rich this way, or they’re truly this pigheaded and dumb.

This mess is due to few issues
                        1. They wanted to get rid of cq
                        2. To show what cq did other coaches can do and was not cq
                        3. Taj wanted to show he can get deals done
                        4. Lack of experience ,taj go brussel and don’t bring a professional lawyer bring a goof who only speak good English I speak good English I don’t go and written high end contract at this magnitude
                        5. To many vague clause which hurt Iran a lot
6.iranian mafia and most likely iff got money back door otherwise I don’t see a reason why Wilmots contract is so high when cq was willing to sign for 1.5 million .
7 Wilmots wife is a professional lawyer she knew Iran football is messed up and there is no accountability expecially in payment hence they put the clause there (or certain fee)
                        8. All thoese who sign behind it are either clueless what the contract was which make them stupid or they were in the corruption of back end money .
9.now that Iran lost no one want to answer not the sport ministry not iff , how can u sign such a large contract and the sport ministry not know , it baffales me.
I hope Iran lose the case hence Iran football wil go bankrupt then we can start fresh all over cause unless the government pay the 6 million there is no way iff can pay that kind of money , they can’t even pay Brando 1 million euro salary , how they want to pay Wilmots compensation
I am just blown away by the stupidy of iff and sport ministry and all thoese who sign it

Just a stat no FIFA ruling have been overturned by Cas not even 1. Iran most likely will spend another million euro and lose this one also . Wilmot must have provided documentation to fifa for him to win the ruling . I remmber taj saying ohh we will win for sure now he is not talking at all . 99.99% we won’t win the cas also

My point was not about corruption in Irans football, there is corruption everywhere (just look up the amount of corruption in Italian football). My point was about the fact that everything regarding Iran is being politicized, it's history, football/sports, Iranian festivities etc etc. It has gotten to a point that it is beyond ridiculous and you don't see this phenomenon in any other country in the world.

The guys working for IFF and in charge designed that stupid contract and they should be held responsible. Instead we read nonsense about how the government is behind this and responsible lol. What interest does the government have in Queiroz being fired and Wiltits being hired? Well the argument some diaspora members use is that Queiroz was becoming so popular and powerful that the Iranian government (IR) felt threatened so they got rid of him lol. I understand their pattern of thinking considering that there is so much anti-Iranian propaganda out there. For example, during the outbreak of the corona virus a guy named Graeme Wood who had never set foot inside Iran claimed that the Corona virus could break the Iranian society, and naturally Iranian diaspora members "believe" this reporter and copied and spread his article. You yourself do the same thing, you read things related to Iran in certain media outlets and then you just follow their statements and arguments (I'm referring to the propaganda/lies of Iran becoming a military dictatorship for amongst other things).

When you put your emotions and feelings regarding IR aside and you think about this subject logically, you'd realize how ridiculous this politicization of everything related to Iran has become.

The Iranian football association has nothing to do with the government, absolutely nothing.

I've explained to you how reading enemy POVs is a good exercise and necessary to discuss the news before. Just because you domt see me post PressTV or Tasnim you assume my sources are always propaganda(let alone every Al Jazeeera, Lobelog,Ruptly) I post. At this point, the message isnt getting through to you and I would rather not discuss this more with you in the football section.
You did not address any of the instances of government interference in our football that I stated but just resort to blanket statements. Maybe I should resort to this strategy.

"Any sports federation that does not have government intervention in Iran does far better. There is a direct correlation between IRs touch and our sports failures. Our volleyball and wrestling is superior to our football for this reason".

Iranian diaspora doesn’t get their information from Graeme Wood and western media. Do you realize many of us visit Iran every summer, have the majority of our families still living in Iran, and are in constant contact with them throughout the year?
