Aziz when you are a 26-28 year old experienced player and the leader of the defence of your national team, have proven yourself and played a solid world cup against the likes of Morocco, Spain and Portugal and top Asian sides, you deserve a club in the level of Club Brugge, Feyenoord, Sporting Lissabon etc not Eupen where you have to run around and coach a 18 year old Belgian defender who doesn't understand you because of the language barrier, for a meagre salary, and in the end you get trashed 4-0 anyway.

Would you work some dead end job yourself for a low salary, or at least work somewhere where the salary will be high and the company you are working for is better than the company providing the dead end job. Had Pouraliganji been a 18 year old inexperienced defender the story would have been different, the same goes for Rezaeian. Let's not pretend that Eupen plays better football than Qatari or Chinese clubs either. My hometown team Foolad would trash Eupen any day just ask Nekounam.

They had signed Majid Hosseini earlier, plus they were stacked for the central defence position which is why Majid Hosseini himself often gets benched. There was a Turkish member here named Burak who has unfortunately left this forum, anyway he had good ties with Trabzonspor and promoted Iranian players for his club. He had discussed the details of Pouraliganji's contract with us on this forum two years ago, and he had shown that they wanted Pouraliganji for the DM position which Pouraliganji then declined, he had even shown pictures of Pouraliganji being in Trabzon negotiating the contract.

Truth is that there is not a whole lot of interest for Iranian players. Just look at how Azmoun and Taremi tear up the Portuguese and Russian leagues, yet no interest from bigger clubs in bigger leagues. Had they been Korean or Japanese they would've been playing at much better clubs than Rio and Zenit.

Iranian players should only move to clubs that will help them get somewhere, not dead end clubs who will most likely relegate to the Belgian second division.

Like i said earlier better play in Qatar or China etc than Eupen, sadly Pouraliganji never had decent offers at decent European clubs. As long as he is one of our best central defenders, at least top four, he belongs in TM, it's that simple.

You complain our players don't get the adequate offer from EU teams. But one of the cause is that they hide themselves in middle east league for too long. EU clubs want garanties and a player without a convincing EU experience don't provide this. The time when respectable teams took any exotic players because of one good pass in the WC is over.
We can blame racism, conservatism and non-EU quotas for this but our players choice are also too blame. All this will go on until we have at least 3-4 legionnaires tearing up in top 4 leagues and/or Iran going to QF of WC.

On a sidenote, I was quite happy to see Ramin joining Duheil, the champion of Qatar. After looking to their squad, there is only qataris (the best of whom couldn't qualify from last copa america group stage) + one or two foreigners

That is incorrect, fact is that the Iranian league barely gets scouted by European clubs. Hide in middle east league? Iran is in the middle east and even the Qatari leagues gets more attention from European clubs than the Iranian league.

Players choices is to blame? If there is no interest from an European club, then how can talented Iranian players make a move? The World cup and to a lesser extend the Asian cup are the only platforms that Iranian players have, as mentioned previously Iranian league barely gets attention from European clubs if any.

Na dadash, JB and Sardar and co had interest from small European clubs when they where younger while this was not the case for Pouraliganji and many others. He only got one offer after the world cup of 2018 by Trabzon to play as a defensive midfielder. And because Eupen is owned by a Qatari businessman and has connections there, Pouraliganji could finally play for a very small Belgian club when he was already an experienced 26 year old defender and the leader of our defense. He went for his chance in Europe but as mentioned previously it was a death end move so logically he moved back to Qatar. If you have any valid sources that other better European clubs wanted Pouraliganji at any time do share it with us, otherwise it is best to stop the baseless accusations towards one of Iran's best defenders at the moment.

If you want iranian players to have the offer they deserve, they should do the right choice of club when they have the opportunity and do wonders their. As we start from scratch and good performance in WC, U17 WC are not correctly rewarded compared to our Japanese friends, we need pionniers to fight to go to Europe, make the right choice of clubs and succeed there. Azmoun had lazio opportunities that could make him escape Russian anonymity, JB could have favouted Leicester or German clubs over brighton, ghoddos could choose rennes over relegation teams huesca/amiens, etc..

Iran/qsl are not heavily scouted and I agree they don't have lots offer but they still have some. Beiro said he had opportunities to leave PP after WC18 but PP didn't let (or he didn't dare to leave), Alipour was linked to lot of euro teams but the guy is still rotting in iran. Same with Torabi
